I was planning on doing this and getting a switchpro for everything.

It's pretty tame right? You would think it would be over the top loud based on how open the setup appears but it surprises you in volume level and makes driving still a pleasurable thing while still having a throaty V8 sound to it. :D

Yeah, it sounds completely different and the noise level isn't bad at all. Glad I went this route.

Screw the Y pipe setup. It's like trying to shove garbage down a single chute versus having two chutes to more equally load them up. Lol.

A little bit more work than a fuse tap, but it appears to be promising!

I’ll probably do a fuse tap for V1 as I’m designing the electrical system for my camper. Once I figure out what I’m doing with that, I’ll decide on V2 or just stay with a fuse tap.

    That it does indeed.

Maybe a little too complex just taking a quick glance at it, but if you're willing to put in the work then it's super worth it. I really dislike the way they designed the intercooler pump circuit. It's can cause more parasitic draw to the battery over time and give you a dead battery which I really really do not like.

Intercooler pump, E-Fan A/C trigger circuit. All pending things that need addressing.

I figured if there was an easier way to do it they would have, so I’m not sure what the deal is but one of these days I am going to try and wrap my head around that post lol.

This is what I plan to do too. Just tap into IGN for now. I hate it for the same reason man.. many of times it has kicked on in the middle of the night camping.. and its not fun for anyone around camp.

This happened to me last weekend. I turned the efan engagement temp down so the ac would work good before the truck warmed up… nothing like an efan blasting at 3 am lol

So today I'm thinking, I always remove the cab from the frame to do heads on the 3.5L Ecoboost. Just because its much faster and easier to deal with the turbo... has anyone removed the cab to do heads on our tacomas just out of curiosity?

Believe it not, takes 45min to 1 hour to prep the cab for removal including AC evac..

You supply the garage with lift and I’ll do it.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I think I would rather get one of those floating creepers where you can lay above the bay. No means to elevate more than a couple inches, enough to swap the cab mount bushings but that's it.
And that is one crazy nest of hoses!

The 1.5L Ecoboost is even worse, Ill usually drop the subframe with motor and trans. Ill take a pic next time that I do one.

any harm in tapping ign switch power from the relay that runs your fog lights? i have the foglight anytime mod. thought tapping there made sense.

I thought about that as well. If you’re running power from it directly to the pump, it may be too much for the wiring, but if you just trigger a relay, you should be fine.

I mean, that could work. Power is power, especially if it's ignition switched power, but given we are already tapping into that section for power to fog lights anytime, I'm not sure if it's wise to run two different sets of power off of it.
