Who did you have instal your billies???

Did you do it yourself or did a Toyota dealership do it. I'm thinking of getting the dealership to do the TSB AAL, if they arent asses about and having them install my billies at the same time. Any bad experiences with the dealeership?

 

If I knew I wouldn't get caught, I would burn down my dealership. . . Install them yourself. Just find a DIY thread on here, and follow it step by step. go to Oriely's and rent a spring compressor. Easy.

 

Yea.. unless you have someone rotate your tires, you can do that yourself. Worst case scenario you have to buy a jack and maybe 4 wrenches.

I assume you have to compress the spring to get that apart. You can use tie down straps (2 at least) for that if you're too cheap or lazy to compress the spring.

 

go to autozone and rent their heavy duty spring compressors and do it yourself, its easy.

Just be careful and read up on this site for info on the process.

I had 4wheelparts do mine and have no issues

 

I am having mine done at the custom shop that has done all of my other work. They are charging me $120. I don't think that is that bad.

 

Did it myself with some help of friends...I bought new top plates and spring isolators so I could get the Billys and 885s assembled before hand...made the install go much smoother

 

where did u get these from? i'd like to go this route when/if i ever get some 5100s.
