I'm looking for a switched power source in the fuse box under the hood. I've searched and have not seen one thread where anyone had tapped into the fuse panel under the hood, only in the cab. I tried the drl, and the fogs and are a constant power source. Even the blanks are a constant hot. It's 6 million degrees out and don't want to rummage for my multimeter. Thanks. This is on 18 taco.

Give me a sec while I find one. I know I used an add-a-fuze on one of those for my power box.

Damnit, I can't find it either. Now I have to go take my truck apart to find it.

What year is yours? On my 2017DCSBOR the layout is different. I put an add-a-fuse on the 10A one labeled "INJ", and that worked. I swear my box has a different layout.

Run a switched 12v to run my led grill when I turn on the truck like a drl. Like trying to power halos to run as a drl, same principle. Like in pic, I fuse tapped the box under the hood on the jeep, want the same on the truck

Older thread but while looking for something to tap in the same area I noticed most the fuses under there stay powered on after my truck is turned off, is this something that's normal?

Yes. There's like one fuse that's only powered when the ignition is on, so I run a tap off that into a bus bar so that I can use it in relays for any circuits that I need to only be powered when the engine is on. My compressor has too much draw for me to feel comfortable using it without the ignition on, so that is relayed.

Why not add a circuit breaker under the hood

EFI1 is a good one in 2nd gens, prob the same in 3rd gens. Be aware though with that fuse that the truck does a self diagnostic powerup every few hours for a min or two, so don't be alarmed if you walk out and your led grille is lit up briefly.

The list is long but distinguished
Ignition switched, correct? If so, this is what I did for my SwitchPros which I got from a thread:

Edit: Here's the Thread Lots of good info in there

Injection fuse for Ignition On sense (Red arrow)
Headlamp for lights On sense (Blue arrow)

I do not recommend pulling power directly from these fuses but using them to trigger relays

Used add a fuse for both. Remember to add BOTH fuses.
