We bought this table new when I was a kid, 2001 i think. It's 16 x 40 so pretty large, and it just got its first plasma torch upgrade after all that time. I would love to eventually get a laser or water jet for more precision cuts.

Also it's not as fun when you are doing the drawings that are basically trace this or drawings always missing critical dimension.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
So let me ask you, is it dying because your camping when it’s parked and using the battery?
    Or
Dying for some reason when you don’t use it for 3/4 days?

Do you have a dedicated solar panel that you use to trickle charge the battery when your sitting?

It would be best to get a 100-120w panel and set that up to your battery.
If you use a butt load of power get a second battery.

That's odd. Do you have stuff hooked up that's always pulling power even when the truck isn't running? Thats not suppose to happen. You could just have a bad cell in the battery and need a new one.

    Yes
You need to find a multimeter and start pulling fuses… I’d start with anything aftermarket and go from there.

A dual battery won’t really solve your problem…

Also if you find your winch is the cause of the parasitic draw, I hear @Gilmorec61 sells a nice little Winch Switch kit to address that issue ;)

You should get your truck tested or a parasitic draw. I seems really odd for it to die that fast. I've never had a winch kill my battery

I'd start with the winch and work with the lights next i doubt my compressor pulls power when it's off I have it switched up with a fuse too

Yeah Kyle was having the same issue ( his battery dying after 3-4 day) but he just upgraded to a dual battery setup so that's why I was thinking of doing the same lol

Think I’ve decided to swap my drain plug for a Fumoto/Femco/ValvoMax/Stahlbus style.

Anyone have direct experience with any or all? Pros/cons to each style?

Please don’t troll with the stories of ‘there was that one guy that ripped his off wheeling.’ I am aware that any and all plug replacements have their shortcomings of hanging lower than a blunt bolt, and require proper installation and usage. If that type of response is all you have to offer, scroll on.

I’m seeking constructive feedback (positive or negative) to the design and functions of these replacement plugs.

Had a fumoto on a previous vehicle; it made draining into a pan/old oil bottles via tube possible, and an extremely easy and clean job. As for “time saved”, there’s not much difference, just bc it drains slower than a drain plug sized hole. As for convenience, doing your own oil is about the same convenience with or without it. It was awesome on my previous vehicle bc the filter was a screw on, at the top of the engine bay, so an oil change was basically no tools necessary, and clean. This truck though, these filters are a pain, and it’s always a little bit of a mess. I still think it’d be worth it if you have skids. My oil drains, and sometimes a lot goes on top of the skid, making for messes for weeks to come wherever I park. I don’t have experience with the others, but would definitely recommend the fumoto.
