2022 TRD off road OEM grill raptor lights

I just ordered a set of raptor lights off Amazon from Kingory. It came with all the necessary wiring and add a fuse. Just curious what fuse have people tapped into ? I know there is a few different options. Any help would be appreciated!

 

I think tapping it to the daytime running lights is the best option.

Overland, did you get them and/or installed yet? I've read about some being too loose, not waterproof, etc. I've got the Kingory's in my Amazon cart. I suppose I could go with a name brand, not trying to be a penny pincher...but just trying to get the most quality for the price. I guess they really don't cost that much, but don't want to have to buy them twice or more!

 

I’ve been using a kit from runnin4tacos since 2018. No issues. I used the add a fuse in the low beam location. I don’t want them on all the time

truck is garage kept so might help with longevity*

I got them installed washed the car couple times and driven through rain. No problems so far. I’m happy with them!

 

I did dlr lights

 

I ordered the same set last week but one of the lights is crooked ("L" indicated one on the edge). Contacted the seller & they are very quick to respond, sent out a replacement yesterday & should be receiving by Friday this week. I am also going to tap into the INJ fuse using the add a fuse option but changed theirs to two 10a fuses (package comes with two 15a fuses). From what I read in other threads, these types of lights don't even use 1a so I'm considering using a 2a or 5a fuse in the add a fuse along with the 10a for the INJ. I really wanted these lights on whenever the taco is on so this is the best & safest option from what I've read so far from various threads but especially from the thread that "grogie" had posted.

I will provide an update & photos when my install is completed as I want to take my time running the cables, wires, etc so everything looks tight and clean.

UPDATE (4/11/22):
Did the install over the weekend and have to say this is the best after market raptor style lights relative to price (bought smoked lenses with amber). I previously bought 2 other ones from different sellers & returned them both due to loose fit, crooked lights with no response from one seller, etc. As long as you follow the visual instructions on their video, fitment is tight & looks as if it came from factory that way. Also used the add a fuse to the INJ 10a in the fuse box so lights are always on whenever the taco is on. Just had to put in some time to clean up cables, wire into the fuse box, etc because I like things done right, tight and clean. Very happy with the lights but can't comment on longevity yet until a few months from now.

 

I have these same ones, installed in my TRD sport. Look great, but sadly after just two days already have water in one of the lamps.

 

mine are all good as far as I know and have driven through rain and washed my car multiple times. But I would return since it’s such a short period of time.

 

Very Nice! Although, the water damage, not so much.

 

They are sending me replacements so hopefully the second one doesn't leak

Swapped out the light that had water in it after receiving the replacements. Probably should have swapped them all out because today after driving through a downpour, after it finally cleared up outside I noticed water in a different lens... Good thing I kept the others as spares.

 

Can you please provide a contact phone number for Kingory? I also received a crooked raptor light, but I can't find any contact information on them. I would like to see if they're interested in replacing them.

 

There are many YouTube videos on which fuse to tap into. One is for the DRL's only and the other is for the headlights only.
