I get mine from rockauto and they seem alright. I'd order Dayco or Gates pulleys, and just make sure they go in the right location. Someone put an upper idler in the lower spot on mine and it was causing premature failure

Thank you. We did all the work ourselves. There was a wood burning stove there but the bar suited our lifestyle better. We have a furnace and in an emergency, the grill can be rolled into the kitchen :D

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
That's exactly what I did when I changed mine a couple of years ago. Now I'm just doing the tensioner and belt along with changing the coolant (last changed the coolant when I did the previous belt/pulleys too). All the new parts are already acquired. I probably won't get to installing them until Sunday though. I've got to work tonight and I haven't gotten any sleep yet.

I have their brightest pnp bulbs in my fusion and tacoma (both tinted out) and they're awesome.
Shoot me a PM with your zip code for shipping and I can throw something together.

Are you doing the entire tensioner as well?

Also for everyone looking into the pulleys here's a comparison I did a few 40k miles ago...

I'm closing in on 145k and have never changed the belt, idlers or tensioner...I should probably make a point of grabbing those all to have on hand for when I do start hearing noises.

So going over that thread, would you recommend all of the Idler pulleys and tensioner from gates or directly replace with OEM? Should i replace the entire tensioner or just the pulley on the tensioner? I know that you were asked that question in the first couple of posts but now that you have had them for a while you might be able to give a better assessment of the gates ones.....

Honestly if I went back and did it again, I'd take the OEM tensioner pulley off (if it was in good shape, mine was) press the bearing out and press a new one in. I actually kept my old pulley and pressed in a new bearing for when I have to do the maintenance again. The same applies for the OEM idlers, granted one of my idlers was pretty rough looking it polished up fine after putting it on the lathe and slowly removing the corrosion or whatever the build up was.

If you're looking for a one and done job then grab the gates kit and swap the pulleys from the tensioner over. Install the belt and cycle it a few times and check the spacing of the belt on the tensioner pulley. I have 40k on the truck right now with this setup and an OEM belt with the only issue is if I hit some deep puddles and dirt gets up on the front side of the engine the pulleys might squeak for a bit a day later then it goes away. The reason why I needed to do my pulleys was because I went into some silt infested water down in RI and it got into the pulleys when I got stuck - it got worse over the next 5k miles until one of the pulleys blew up on the highway. I was actually still able to drive home, it wore down the belt but overall it still held just sliding on the inner race of the blown out bearing.

In my defense I have the entire kit in the bed of my truck. It's insurance that that won't break.. Just stuff you don't have seems to fail.

Closing on a house now and going down the big shed and/or small barn route and it’s EXPENSIVE. I’m talking like 16x20 for 30-40k. It’s wild.

After watching our house go up I can see why it's so much more expensive to build out than up

How many miles do you have on your truck? I’m at 152K and only changed the belt once a lot of miles ago. Probably should change it again soon. Now I’m nervous about the pulleys.

We've found 7 ticks in the house in 3 days. Do we just burn it all to the ground at this point?
