Should have specified, the shocks are mine. I’m thinking about upgrading and I’m trying to get an idea what I can list these for. Lower eyes are chewed up, uniballs need to be replaced, and could probably stand to be rebuilt.

Is anyone running 315s on their truck? What are the pros/cons with those?

    Stock-ish
Pros :they are almost a 12.5 wide tire
Cons: Its hard for me to process how wide they are because I grew up leaning standard and not metric

    I did for 3 years.

Pros, bigger tires make smaller holes.

Cons, 37’s make even smaller holes.

but yeah if you’re LT and want the most out of it, I really think the little extra effort to run at least 315’s/35’s is well worth it

Lots of people are running are running what I assume you're referring to as a 35" tire.

Pros- @snowsk8air2 said it best. "Bigger tires make smaller holes."

Cons- Gas mileage suffers. Power suffers. Cost of re-gearing makes the wallet suffer. More likely to break shit. Substantial amount of work to clear for 35s, fully cycle, and not rub.

Okay. Thanks fellas. That’s what I needed to know. Im LT in the front and mid on the rear and on 33s. I’m already regeared to 488 since I’m trying to jump up on tire size. I was just curious to see if there was a difference besides the obvious standard vs metric size. I

The 4.88 gearing will be fine for a 315/35, I was running 4.56 with mine. And the actual cons are mpg, acceleration and braking. But I feel it really didn’t make too much of a difference from 33’s. Off road performance gains are very noticeable with each size larger tire you go, it just takes more work to fit them properly

Correct. Everyone out in Colorado at Warfab's best of the west was complaining about following me after my 39's dug some deep holes and rutted the trail out.

I think I’ll get 37’s as placeholders in the next few months, but 40’s are the end game. Super swamper land around here of course. Thinking this timeline will be appropriate and allow me to still enjoy the truck without being down forever if I just jump straight to 40’s-

    37’s
    Full hydro
    Rear axle
    Cage
    40’s
    Whatever the 40’s break

Anyone looking to plate or box their frame? I can cut out any frame section on my plasma table and modify however you want. This is how I did mine, but put a 5/8” sleeve in for a simple tube bumper mounting point. Just wanted to offer since I’ve never seen anyone else do something similar other than boxing the rear of the frame.
