If only we could be compensated for our time. I could of actually had a rear bumper from any of the big companies at this point. Wanted to help out the smaller guy with the quicker lead times lol

No. I paid for both of my sets of sliders with PayPal.
I've been waiting since the end of October.
Interesting theory, but it doesn't seem to match practice.

October?!:anonymous:Obviously the vender did not deliver on anything resembling their promise of goods within a reasonable amount of time.

Did you file a dispute with Paypal for the transaction (or threaten to file a dispute)?

    YIKES!

I was curious about something, so went ahead and Googled it...after 6 months, Paypal might not help you out.
@sixstring , this would be important info for people to know.

Speaking of...hmm, it would be REALLY sketchy if the vendor knew and kept this fact in mind, right?

So far. No response yet. Called and left a message on Monday and sent a msg through website today.
Will file a dispute on Friday to get my money back.
@2013XSPX you were my main point of contact but have since gone silent, so I’m assuming no further updates was given regarding any items but longer updated lead times.

I found that I had the best experiences when the user on TW was still involved with them. Beyond that - FB messenger and posting on Noreast Overlander group on Facebook.

I would say that they definitely need to work on a marketing department that focuses on being a consumer liaison. Clearly they're overwhelmed. But to be honest, I get the impression that is what's going on, not that they're trying to hold everyone ransom from their money

It’s to discourage people people from placing orders then changing or canceling them b/c they don’t know what they want. It wastes a lot of time and resources processing refunds as well as producing planning when people are constantly changing and canceling their orders. Doesn’t seem like a bad deal and one order isn’t. But across many orders, 5 minutes for each starts to add up to a lot of time just spent replying to and processing refunds as well and updating and rearranging production schedules and material/part PO’s. Most vendors have so kind of language like this. Though they never get honored by any bank if the customer disputes the charge, so it's pointless.

Damn sorry to hear about those of you waiting months on end with nothing to show for it. I met a few of the EO guys in person last year, they all seemed like good folks. They also seemed very overworked between the EO stuff (armor plus events), as well as young families.

I have no skin in the game here one way or the other, and I'm sure this doesn't help those of you waiting for orders one single bit. But from what I've seen I don't believe there are any bad intentions behind the company.

thank you so much for compiling all of that. helps us out a ton. its always tough when a business goes silent. they never were an official vendor here - basically gave them a trial run to see how they handled things and, well, yeah. here we are. staff is now aware and will be monitoring and updating with whatever info we can contribute.

Like I said, I don't work there anymore but I try to reach out to the owner to help with past-due orders. There's a ton I could say but the bottom line is I feel a customers expectations should be met. EO was built by guys who wheel and use their shit and fabricate, blew up quick and are trying to figure it out. There's no excuse for missed deadlines or bad communication. So I feel you guys on that. That's why I left. It was so enjoyable helping people build up their dream truck and save them money. Again I'm only speaking from my experience with sales and customers; not the company as a whole.

@2013XSPX you stopped working with EO because you saw order fulfilment issues? When did you start noticing this was becoming a problem and when did you leave?

@sixstring Thanks for making this thread. I had their site bookmarked because I liked some of their stuff and was planning on ordering once I saved up…you have saved me from making that mistake.

Communication has always been an issue. EO Tried a few things, hiring a shop manager, developing a lead time tracker (didn't work). I left a few months ago. But have been active helping with other people's orders because I think that is important.

Hate to see this, hopefully EO can get their operations under control for you guys or make you whole. @2013XSPX was my main point of contact last year. You seemed to be the glue holding TW relations together. I’ve bashed on my sliders and they’ve held up great but that doesn’t protect a truck that’s waiting on parts… good luck all

I don’t see how they can quote 12 weeks for sliders, I’m at 21 for a raw pair.

Yesterday made 4 months for me and was originally quoted 6-8 for a raw pair. Sent them a message yesterday and no reply so far. They need to stop giving people cheap excuses and just acknowledge the fact that they bit waaay more than they could chew. At 10 weeks I was given the “Covid/ material supply “ excuse, but is clear that’s all lies. I bet at this point they are happy to see people cancelling orders so they have less to worry about.

For those that may have paid with PayPal and are less than 180 days after purchase, maybe it’s worth filing a dispute.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/payment-scam-protections.764627/

If you paid another way, start a dispute with your bank. It seems like this won’t end well for most of y’all. Reminds me of the SOS Concepts mess.

I’m coming up on a year still waiting for my skid plate. When my sliders came in one was bent, I was told to bend it back out “it’s easy”.
Can’t get my money back at this point. Waited too long.

    Thanks for making this post.

Damn that’s messed up. It’d be one thing if you waited that long and got a solid product…but to see they’re churning out bad products and not having any accountability is a whole new level
