Call your banks if PayPal won’t play ball. This same shit happened with Pelfry and some people had no problems explaining the situation to their banks and getting taken care of.

 

Question, based on your previous post…did EO ghost you when asking for your refund?

 

I'm speechless, this is SO messed up. How do people sleep at night, knowing they stole from the same community that built them up.

This is a great question, and I've been wondering about this lately too. I attended an E.O./Koch 33 co-sponsored event at the Koch 33 dealership when I went to pick up my sliders (long story, see post #15 here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/explore-overland-ne-pickup.740604/page-4#post-27294823), and E.O. and Koch 33 seemed very tight-knit.

FWIW I recently had heard 2nd-hand that the owner of E.O. said he works/worked in the auto dealership industry. I don't know any more details than that, but him being a former (or current!) employee or other partner of Koch 33 would not be a stretch (but this is my speculation, not based on verified fact).

 

So, yes Derrick EO owner has a very close relationship with Koch as they have done a lot of events together. I do believe that relationship has recently changed due to everything coming out in the open about what has really been going on. But I can’t only assume that. I hope that Koch will cut ties and never work with Derrick again.

Had someone who just created an account telling me their husband was the head fabricator + designer for most of their products.

If they make a company, hope they have a website to order of off.

!!For those less informed of internet scams, people have found threads like this and reach out to people to try to get payment for goods or services with like paypal friends and family/venmo/zelle to get money out of those that are already suffering. These payment options are nonrefundable so just be wary.

If they are making a new company, I hope they are able to keep up with demand, post realistic timeframes and be good communicators with the public.

 

EO has a private Facebook group called " " with ~6k members and another " " with ~2k members for those of you having issues contacting them. If you join and get in I'm sure any posts wouldn't last long but it might make enough quick attention that they start responding to anyone who calls them out. Some images or links back here, get 'em to respond scared straight style.

FWIW, having seen some of their custom work up close, I wasn't impressed with their "fabrication" of anything not to mention just poorly designed and thought out execution on most of it. Seemed like they're poorly reverse engineering other companies products and slapping some bent tube on it to make it "their tube bumpers". Pretty sure I heard the dude was a sales manager at that cock33 auto dealer, not even a mechanic, and nevermind a fabricator...

Avoid at all costs.

 

It was probably Dusty’s wife. He was the originally fabricator that started it all. It was his shop where it all started before they moved to the larger shop. The workers were getting screwed over too, from what I was being told anyway.

 

Maybe ole Dusty has some pipe laying around to make me some sliders and a top play lol
