Exactly! Our infrastructure can't handle everyone in America plugging in to charge their cars. So what's the rush to force everyone to EV? :annoyed:

It’s a good thing we invented the automobile, can you imagine all the horse manure clogging up our highways.o_O

I live in Amish country, horse manure on the road is pretty common. :D

When our country transitioned from horse and buggy to the automobile, they didn't 'outlaw' the horse and buggy and force everyone into autos. The transition happened naturally as the infrastructure, affordability and peoples acceptance of autos gained traction. At the moment we are all but being forced into EV and our infrastructure is no where near ready for it. I think most people are open minded to newer/better technologies but it needs to happen at the appropriate pace.

No one is forcing me to buy an EV, although I really like the Ford 150 EV.

I vacuumed the interior of mine. Too many trips to White Castle and some fries had gotten away... (They no longer come in only one size...)

I also populated some pre-sets for the XM radio.

Just noticed that it looses mpg if you are running 70mph above. And the gear hunting during high speed starts to annoy me.

Have you had an ECU update? It greatly reduces gear hunting and makes shifting smoother.

There is a fix for this issue, but the problem would be getting car companies and people to do it.

Each car should have a lower limit of 75% charge, when over 75% the car would back feed electricity into the grid during peak times. This would allow people to get at least 75%, but also act as a giant battery backup system for the whole grid. If there is not much demand, then cars over 75% would charge as normal, but if everyone turns on their AC and starts draining the grid, all those cars over 75% that are plugged in would discharge to help support the rest of the system (until they get to 75% charge, or whatever the end user decided they want to set).

I feel this could work since power consumption is generally lower at night when most people would be charging their cars, then when they go to work or are home during the day, those cars could help the overwhelmed grid.

We would need a massive system upgrade just to do this, but it could be rolled out with each EV sale. This system would also not be needed in all areas.

Made a big honking mess in the garage. Only took a roll of shop towels and a good mopping with Dawn soap to clean it up. Apparently hot oil will be so happy to drain that it will hit your collection pan and fountain itself right back out again. :anonymous::anonymous::anonymous:

At least the diff and the lawnmower were better behaved.

Anyways, I gots a question to ask. How easy would it be to reach a fujimoto valve through the aluminum skid plate? Super easy or would I have to drop the skid?

Switching to the valve suddenly gives me an excuse to :spending:. I'm not sure I like how unprotected it is at the moment.

Same thing happened when I changed my oil the first time. I have a drain valve to put on after the next change. Ya it came out like it was under pressure and splattered everywhere.

IMO, I would not install that type of valve without having a skid plate to protect it.

Installed Sumo Springs in the back this morning. Super easy job, took about an hour with me rotating the tires and inspecting the brakes. A quick test drive, and I barely notice they’re back there with an unloaded bed.
I will probably get some for the front one of these days.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
I like this set up. Are the storage areas under the (previously) backseats still usable? When you're off-roading and bouncing around, how does the cooler handle it?
