Another vote for Audew 2000. This comes in clutch.

These reviews are very interesting. My personal experience with these units are very different. I went through 3 of the noco gb40s before switching back to the old school large box. The first one I jumped a car that was completely dead and had to use the override feature. It started the car but killed it. I took it back and explained what happened. Didn’t really expect a warranty because of using the override but they gave me another one anyway. The second one I had for a couple months. Kept it in my edc pack so it came inside at night and I used the usb sometimes to charge other stuff. After a bit it just stopped recharging. That one didn’t even get used to jump anything. I really liked the idea of the smaller pack and there are so many people that swear by there reliability that I gave it one more shot. Worked great a few times then tried to start my father in law’s Honda Civic and nothing. Unit had full power just wouldn’t work. After that I had lost all confidence in these things and went back to the larger one. My advice to anyone who has one is definitely don’t throw away your jumper cables.

I keep a Noco in each vehicle and ditched the jumper cables.
I’ve told my story before. Stranded in an airport parking lot with a dead battery, wife and two kids. I had jumper cables in hand and nobody would help us. We had to call AAA.

Since then we carry jump boxes. Mine has jump started two other vehicles and finally my own truck just last week. My daughter had to use hers during the winter storm in Texas last year. It likely saved her and her baby’s life.

I take ours out about every six months for a recharge. No issues so far.

    I have a NOCO,
for 2 years and never had to use it yet,
only put in truck if on a trip or off road,
it also can charge a phone or led light - great for blackouts

I have a smaller and larger antigravity brand jump packs. They work great. The smaller one I use for moto batteries.

Interesting concept. Do the instructions mention anything about periodically reforming the capacitor or hooking it up to a power source? The working loads may be too small for this application to worry about. Industrial drives and controls need to have the capacitors reformed every 12 months when in storage or risk damage when placed under full working load.

Love my 1500 amp little booster pack. Boosted a neighbour and it literally took seconds to pull it out of the case and on to the battery posts.

No mention of any such maintenance. Claimed warranty is 10 years, which is 10 times longer than the NOCO and a generic replacement jumper each lasted for me. After taking those two apart, was appalled at the high profit margin these people enjoy. Pot metal and child labor soldering. Haven't taken apart the Autowit yet, because haven't had the need. See you again in 9 years, hopefully.

This is why I don’t understand why people l give them such good reviews. All the ones I tried failed and where overall crap. They use cheap Chinese cells and hardware that should be in an rc car. Pulling huge loads from that early failure seems all but guaranteed.

I can see where you are coming from and understand that you had failures. That said, overall it is not the case. Ours have worked great and have been used, sometimes abused. Mine is over 4yrs old, the other is 2, and our third has been around for 18mo.

If they were failing at the rate that you have seen, they would not be a thing.

That’s exactly why I bought it in the first place. People really have good things to say about them.

At least I got my money back from Costco with the generic one. Just had to perform an early morning hike to seek a bailout in the boonies.

The Costco ones always confused me. More money and lower mAh than other known ones.

Definitely. Costco will take care of you.

I do assume that they are all the same Samsung battery cells inside.

I trust my NOCOs, they've worked every time I have needed to use them. This guy in a Miata having a rough evening on main street liked it too.

Amazon can be a gamble at the best of times... he obviously gambles and it paid off... you gambles and lost. At least you had back up. For the record, I am skeptical of these but did purchase a NOCO unit. Time will tell if it does the trick or jumper cables will be the reigning king of jump starts....
