What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

First of all it's not that great. He makes you buy all this nice stuff, with a "hey you can use my garage and tools etc" as a trap. He even made me pay for a pizza once......

 

How thick is the spacer

 

1/4 inch, equals about 1/2 inch lift.

 

Where did you go this weekend? I was just up NF-65 by Skykomish and found a little snow still sticking around at elevation. We also tried Cushman Lake on the peninsula but the road was closed at the copper creek trail head.

 

I will shame you into buying quality gear. If you are going to mod in my garage it had better be worthwhile parts.

 

Can't quite recall the fire road, but it was after zeeks before the bridge? I've been a few times. It's pretty fun

Not at all. Still has a 35" tire around it so any gains would be so minute you would never feel them while driving. Only time i could tell is when i was mounting the tires.

 

So that was the previous owner. It’s a canoe rack (pretty common up here in Maine) that he DIY’d. It’ll receive some TLC this week, but otherwise just planning to keep it for now. Reinforcement and upgrade is likely in the cards.

oddly enough, I had to pick up a canoe this past weekend anyway, so the timing was incredibly serendipitous. It works really well!

Does that AR mount lock or anything? Where I live, I would be concerned parking in any parking lot with a gun on full display through the window like that.

Ordered them from McGeorge Toyota part numbers are 68161-04050 for the right front and

$43 68163-04020 MOTOKU Front and Rear Door Window Outer Weatherstrip Belt Molding Seal kit for Toyota Tacoma 2005-2016

68163-04020 for the right rear. And there were these weird tin coverings over the horn. I just pulled them off and made my horns louder I think. I don't know why they would be on there in the first place.

Looks great! Id buy some of those 3D goodies if you were to make them.

 

Installed the oem color matching grill surround along with the non oem pro grill. Super easy. Also plasti dipped the emblems. I was going to go with black but I saw the camo tan and decided to give it a try. I think I am happy with it. You can see where I took out a bird sized flying bug of some kind above the right headlight.

 

I could make a way to lock it. I don’t really keep it until he truck unless I’m going shooting. I keep my Glock in a safe for that kind of use
