Traded in on one of those super sale weekends, I've got several people at several dealerships, and the 17th that I ended up with did not sell on that weekend so they marked it down. My guy said it was old enough that people were skipping right over it to look at 19s and 20s on the used lot. It only has 50,000 mi so... Thing is still brand new in my mind. And it came with an almost new set of nitto Ridge Grapplers, to match the larger set of nitto Ridge Grapplers on my black truck.

Got into Missouri yesterday from Dallas. Went to St Joe and picked up the heads then drove back to KC and dropped off the heads at Nolan's. Place was really cool and the guys seemed nice. Looking forward to seeing their work. Anyone see a problem? Could've taken a better pic.

Hard to tell, but the buildup on the bottom cylinder, cylinder 1 I assume, looks dramatically different on the exhaust valves.

If you look closely there's a hole on cylinder 1s valve. It was the reason for low compression on cylinder 1.

Heyo! That's not a cracked cylinder wall!

    Congrats?

Edit: I see it now! It looks like the low side of the valve, did the piston look okay?

Yup pistons looked great along with everything else. There were no other issues but the valves.

Was suggested by my mechanic that chain guides be done since the head was off along with head and valve cover gaskets. Thinking of anything else I should do since it's off.

Sounds like your guy knows what's up, I can't think of anything to add unless you were looking to do a full top end rebuild :spending:

Maybe hit up the 2TR-FE perfomance thread and ask there or just post up in the 4cyl section. I haven't had to do anything that deep into mine yet, so I don't have anything I can recommend from personal experience.
