Yeah no kidding. I looked into buying a Tacoma for a "good deal" like this before I bought the one I have now. Dealer was shady on the truck specs and wouldn’t give me the carfax, so I paid the $20 or whatever and found out that the truck had sustained major front end damage. The truck had to be towed from the scene of the accident. I think that’s usually the story with the salvage vehicles. Bad idea to me, especially if it voids the warranty.

I am familiar with CJ Prestman. I even purchased a car from him years ago. He deals in mostly salvage titles. He has a really good Toyota guy who keeps his Tacoma's really tight. He usually turns out a great product. My only serious concern with purchasing a salvage title is the resale value. Banks usually don't like to lend on such titles. However, if you plan on keeping the truck forever, this is a great way to spend less money!

thanks for the invite but i probably won't be making it to any meets until summer. i'm only in Utah 50% of the time and during winter i'm skiing every available day. i'm also facing elbow surgery in April. hopefully it won't knock me down for long but i'm planning for the worst.

Nice Rig!! So are you residing in Park City? My buddy works up there for a food delivery service and I was just up there a couple weeks ago and went snowboarding with my brother for a couple of days.
