@Stupidbeetle might be your guy. He just got a hardshell a few days ago and ran a best-topper for a while

Anyone doing any weekday wheeling trips in August? Found myself in the rare position of having every weekday off and very few weekends off.

Morning everyone. We are currently on a little trip hitting 8 provincial parks up to kakabeka falls and back home to hensall. Truck is loaded and sitting low in the back end. Time to get rid of the spacer lift for something more robust. Help me spend my money. 5100s in the front I assume? What else do I need? Coils? Add a leaf? I have blocks in the rear with extended shocks...and some where reputable to buy from. I want to support a Canadian retailer. I will pay extra to buy Canadian. Thanks

I've been to a couple of them. I do like what I have seen on some of the trucks. I'm not a hard core wheeler looking to run 37s lol. I like the lift on my truck and am going to go with a lift again. Probably going to buy 5100s for the front. Just wondering what else is needed to complete the package. Any searches I've done have so many different opinions. I guess my question is, what is the complete package I need to buy starting with 5100s? Do I need new uca? Add a leaf? I have new factory leaf packs. Do I still run blocks with add a leaf? New rear shocks with add a leaf?

I put 5100s, icon add a leaf (3-pack) and also have a 1" block in the rear. Could probably do without the block but I wanted more lift. If I did it again, I'd spend the money on a full leaf replacement. Have stock UCAs

I think it all depends on how much you want to spend.
I'm probable the "cheep guy lift" on this site that is functional and I consider all my "cheepness" a waste cause in the end which is comming up next year I'll have to get a proper lift and by that I mean spend the money...lol.

I cheaped out on the rough country spacer lift. Had to replace both axel. I'm in line to spend 1000 to 1500 on the lift. Mainly for looks but I want better load capacity for the rtt and camping gear

5100 with 1” lift at front with stock uca or you can find 3rd gen takeoffs that will also give you 1” lift on 2nd gen. For the rear if you carry a lot of weight dobinson leafs should help, add a leaf or blocks is a temp. solution.

Make sure Kakabeka falls is actually open :boink:
they had a late opening which was the weekend after i showed up going to the Yukon.
    I'm still salty about it.

Depending on weight, even with the OME medium weight Leafs - my ass end only had about 2-3" of travel before bottoming out on the U-bolts (i never trimmed them :bananadead:)

if you are constantly gonna have the weight, go with the heavy leaves. but honestly, sure your ass end is low, but you'll be find if you do gravel roads and highway driving.

i run Fox 2.5s in the front with Fox 2.0 + resis in the rear with OME medium leafs.
Keep your eyes out on FB market place, @tacoma16 found my set up there and managed to get a good deal out of it. but be really cautious of price creep. Stick with your budget, it's really easy to do the "eh it's only $50 more, not that much" on each item you get - next thing you know, you'll justify a $15k kit for 40s.

rear coils on a taco would be neat as frick. specially after seeing @CaygeonRunner new rear springs.

Any one have issues with LCA bushing/cam adjusters seizing? I'm replacing the front suspension on my 17 but the LCA won't move much even with the bolts loosened. Is it time to cut out the LCA's and replace them? Any other solutions? Thanks!
