It is that time of year.

Speaking of which, when does Musterground / Chestnut Mountain Rd open?

Fair point! It's been gorgeous. I drove Old NC 105 yesterday and it was damn near perfect out there.

I don't know if there's any meetups planned but I'm new to Asheville and would like to meet some folks around here.

I may drive Old NC 105 on Easter Sunday. Pretty sure I'll be driving back to Georgia solo that day and this has been on my list.

It's a good drive for sure. Nothing technical, just a couple rough patches and a couple mudholes. Definitely stop at Wiseman's View and Linville Falls.

What’s up y’all?! I live in the foothills, about an hour from both Boone and Asheville. Finally joined the club today after dreaming about owning a Taco since I first saw Top Gear try to destroy a Hilux, probably 15 years ago. Been lurking these forums for a year now, and I finally get to chime in.

I am considering letting go of my Thule racks. Set up for my 13 Access Cab.
I am 45 minutes west of Asheville.

I know that the rails I have have been updated. They are still the Aerodynamic model.
I know I have the box for the bars.
I have the box for the Fit Kit.

Rapid Traverse with Fit Kit 141511.

    Had a 2002 DC, now a 2004 DC.
    Hey Guys,

In the Hendersonville area. Just got some major work on my truck completed--a frame swap. A good source for parts and work in the area is WNC Auto (Jimmy). All he deals with are Toyota trucks. Not sure what everyone's experience with him has been, but I had a very positive one. Still lots of work to do on the truck, but it is getting there.

Anyone want to help mount an ARB bumper or do the Tundra brake upgrade? ;)

Quick question for those of you from the area. I was on old NC 105 camping this last week in the Linville Gorge. I man approached my camp site at night and asked if I could see the Brown Mountain lights. I told him I didn't know what those are as I had never heard of them (originally from IN, and now in Greensboro). He complimented my truck and said he had a tacoma as well so I let him hang out and look at these flashing lights across the way on the mountain. Has anyone else seen them? They were just bright lights that would randomly flash/flicker, sometimes fade out slowly. Show up in random spots at random times. I read people have described them as floating orbs that move. These seemed to be "stationary" as they didn't seem to move when they were seen but were in different positions a lot of the time. I thought it could just be campers but in the morning most of them were showing up where there was a solid rock face of a cliff.

I'm right outside Greensboro in Jamestown. Have read about the Brown Mountain lights , but have never seen them.
