Just had mine done over the weekend. 6112 set at 5/4 (6-notch version), 5160, Icon AAL, SPC UCA. A little under 2" lift in front and a little over 1.5" in back. We'll see how it settles.

Here's mine set at max height, ICON RXT leafs set on option #1. About to go up to option #3 (add extra leaf) for max height and 305/70R17 tires, debating whether or not to add a thin spacer up front to gain 1" or not.

    My 6112s are set at 3/2 (I just wanted to level the front a bit) with 265/75R16 tires;

Is that just the stock leafs in the rear? I'm looking to do the same, I don't have a need to lift the rear.

    Looks good!

    Thanks!

Yes, this is with stock leaf springs in the rear (and 5160 shocks).

I will rarely see the dirt, maybe on one or two camping trips or out of town bike/hikes a year. How much of a difference on road did you notice from stock OR suspension versus the 6112/5160?

I ordered it assembled at the 4/5 setting, didn't like it, dropped it down one notch. I wanted the lift to be subtle. :cookiemonster:

I drive the truck predominantly on-road, and I found that the stock OR suspension was too soft/underdamped (lots of brake dive, body roll, and general bounciness). So on-road with the 6112/5160, I find the truck drives much better now as it's firmer and more controlled.

    Nice!

6112/5160 is way overkill for me.....but shiny things are nice!

    Thanks for the info!

Agreed. I have a 2017 OR. I recently replaced the stock Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure tires with C-load 265/75-16 Duratracs. I like the traction, but it felt like the stock shocks couldn't handle the extra weight. Wheel control felt more sloppy than with the stock tires. I swapped to 6112/5160 shocks mostly just to improve wheel control with the heavier tires. So far, it seems much better.

    You stalker!

Twisted bastards such as us need a ride to match! Something that's sightly off, but you can't say why exactly.

    It sets the mood.

No problem! The 6112/5160 are a good middle ground for me vs. the pricier Fox/King options.

Maybe also take a look at the Bilstein 5100s as a lower cost option if you want to upgrade from your stock TRD OR suspension.

I considered 5100, but you always want a little bit nicer than you actually need.

found these 6112 from facebook marketplace local to me with 20k miles. came off second gen. seller has listed for 500 which is a little high for my liking, but will watch for price drops. can anyone help me out and figure out whats with those top hats? are those the stock second gen tophats or some spacer he put on? also can someone link me to the other 6112/5160 thread? ive been lurking but not posting.

also looking for low mile TRD pro bilstein takeoffs. thinking slightly used 6112/5160 would be better off than new 5100's. also bilstein in general what do yall think about performance change over miles? have a chance to get 40k mile front 5100, 80k rear 5100, and generic AAL in rear for 200 bucks. tempted but know buy once cry once

I have this exact setup sitting in my garage awaiting install next Friday. I noticed you said 11/9, which is funny, because I bought mine assembled from Wheeler's and called them when I opened the package for inspection. I wanted to make sure I got the right ones for my truck and the guy on the phone laughed, and said "yeah, they're the new ones. Most of the literature hasn't been updated yet." I said "Neither has TacomaWorld." LOL!

Looking great on your truck. I was a little worried the RXTs on the back might give a little more lift than I want on my shortbed, but I think they'll be good. Thanks for posting!
