Homelink garage door

Just picked up my ‘22 TRD off road a week ago. Unfortunately it has an auto dimmer mirror but doesn’t have the garage door opener. After looking around here, am I just missing a homelink mirror? Easy change?

If you have a 12 pin plug going to your mirror, with 3 actual wires, you should be good to go with swapping in the auto dim, compass and homelink mirror. worked great on my '17 OR.

 

This is what I did

Bob's Mirrors is legit and her is a heck of a guy. Sent me extra parts because I was not certain what I needed to cover the wires.

Also, I was hesitant to order at first because it said used, but you would never know looking at the mirror I got. Looked BRAND NEW to me!

 

Looking forward to doing this mod one day myself. For now, I’m using the clip-on-the-sun-visor remote.

 

I also purchased a home link mirror from Bob’s for my former Prerunner, had a great experience.

 

Went with bob’s, was not disappointed. The only thing being you need to know what to expect. If yours does not even have the auto dim mirror, then I can’t promise you will have the wiring needed for the mirror you want. You might, but no way for us to know that. Need to dig in the headliner. If not, don’t be pissed, that’s just how the truck was made.

anyways, I had an auto dim mirror but not homelink. I went with a homelink 5 brand new mirror from bobs. Works great. I had a used homelink 4 mirror before that but it was pristine and you’d never know it was used. Just wanted the latest capability so I switched to the 5 model. Love it.

 

Another for Bob’s Mirrors. I got the adapter cable as well so the homelink was not powered when the vehicle was off.

 

I got mine through Bob's as well. Thumbs up.

 

I didn't get mine from Bobs, but it was pnp in my 2021 that had the standard factory autodim. I didn't even have to change the harness. Looks awesome with the matching blue leds.

That’s solid stickering on the cabinet. I do the same in my shed cabinets…breweries, aftermarket parts companies, places I’ve traveled, etc

 

Thanks d00d. It keeps the truck clean, makes the garage look cooler and satisfies my need to sticker things lol.
