I use the fuse tap. If I don't use it, I lose the neat little start up dance. Also I have an SR5 with non native DRLs, so I more or less have to use it if I want to toggle between white and amber drls.

But to answer your question, you don't have to use the fuse tap. But if you, it's not a difficult task.

@no vtec 4me is who you seek for that. He did mine, and they are great looking! Did them all black and we swapped the sidemarker reflector to a smoke one. I really like the clear sidemarker option too, and would definitely have gone that route if my truck was any color but black.
Also, don’t let @daveeasa talk himself down. I may be biased here, but I don’t really have much to do with the regular conversion harness that he makes, but I am very familiar with Daves dedication and almost religious zeal towards what he does. Seriously, I think he has a shrine set up to Sumitomo and Yazaki somewhere in his house. He really does offer top notch products, with all the bells and whistles (them zip ties though!), but he will stand behind them as well. Seriously, little stuff you’d never think about keeps Dave up at night when it comes to this stuff. Great support on a top notch product for a little more money is what I call value

Damn, I typed all that for nothing
The Pros are black-er straight out of the box, but they do have the TRD and PRO things. Let me see if I can dig up a picture of mine….

Unfortunately not. He doesn’t make a whole lot due to the materials he uses. But they are worth it :)

I do fixed pricing b/c as a consumer, nothing irks me more than paying more than some other guy paid b/c I didn't know about some stupid discount code.

I did lower the price from $85 to $80 once I sourced connectors in bulk and placed an excessively large order for them, thus lowering my per-unit cost a little bit.

I agree, discount codes hurt long term prospects for a brand.
I buy my shoes from nobull because they NEVER discount, not even black friday, and people know that this is the best they can get and they will just buy on their own terms when they need to buy.

The price for the "excellently produced" harness is reasonable.

Considering, I spent over $1300 ($661+$665) for both OEM LED headlights...and that was discounted through SparksToyota!

My only regret...not having them added to MSRP as am installed package...I believe the price is $485 that includes the LED Fog Lights.

Newbie question: The pros are the only head lamps that come w the black housing. (Not offroad or sport) correct?

Also is anyone running OEM led fog lamps as well?

for my 2022 SR5. I want to upgrade my headlights to the OEM TRD PRO headlights.

Did the upgrade using @daveeasa harness (top-friggin-notch quality on that) and non-pro branded OEM LED headlights. Both are money well spent. The difference at night is astounding. Pricey for the lamps, but wow...
