I have a 2006 with a melted brake sensor after a wheel bearing melt down. No abs no problem brakes work better than ever. They now stop the truck better on pavement snow ice mud gravel. Never even considered replacing the sensor

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.

That’s what I did, and for the same exact reason as you (squishy pedal). I don’t have any dash lights and my pedal is nice and firm again and I can actually stop my truck.

Mine too has recently become squishy. No matter how many times I have bled it.

That was my issue that all started when I replaced my calipers a few years ago. I don't remember why but the passenger one had a hiccup and I had the brake line disconnected for 24 hours, or maybe I didn't bleed it until the next day or something. Regardless, I think air worked up to the ABS module and got trapped in there and I couldn't bleed it out no matter how hard I tried. Even cycled the abs pump with a scanner. That's why I wanted to do this abs bypass and I'm glad I did.

edit: Are your rear drums adjusted? That can lead to a squishy feeling. Assuming you even have drums in the back anymore.

I thought I'd also add the diagram from the FSM that I referenced.

I no longer have ABS as the truck is axle swapped. About to ditch the booster and go hydroboost all together.
