I bought it sight unseen and it was a nightmare. ive never had to pull out the torch to field strip a gun. Must have been put away wet 70 years ago. Im currently trying to make it worth what i paid for it. She will be worth it in the end since i enjoy doing this stuff. Not a shiny bore but have yet to shoot anything out of it.

You talking the part I circled in red?

If thats the part then nope it shouldnt just be flopping around. Mine is pretty tight and takes a decent amount of force to pull it open/back/wahtever lol

i have an aftermarket mag so im guessing thats the reason. it was shipped without a mag. Also, my trigger is surprisingly lite maybe less than 3 lbs closer to 2

i may just take the mag apart and bang a dimple where it contacts to get a tighter fit

Ok just sold my Remington 1100 3" Magnum for more than what I thought it was worth. Now I need another 12 gauge semiauto. It seems a lot of Turkish shotguns are pretty good and cheap. I'm very tempted to get a Hatfield SAS for $260. Anyone have any experience with those? Or maybe an EAA or TriStar in the $400 range?

Before anyone asks, I only had an 1100 because I've always wanted one. Didn't really have much in it and it wasn't in perfect shape but functional. I really don't "need" a 12 gauge semiauto, I just like having one.

Mossberg 930 is a comparable to the 1100. 1100 I always thought was a good shotty myself.

I'll look into that one. I love the 1100. But he made an offer I couldn't refuse!
