I utilize my DRCC on Highway 1...both going to Philly and going down to the beach.

Heading to the beach this morning. Let's see how light traffic is at 8am.

At the beach today. You can see the scars from my bi-lateral knee replacements.

I use a boogie board to condition myself...I'm seriously out-of-boogie-board-shape! lol

I also have a 7.5ft Surfboard that really tests my endurance...paddling out is the test!

It's good to get to the beach early.

For posterity...Here's my right knee done in Mar 21, 2018. Left knee done 4 weeks later on April 18, 2018.

I had to get my left knee manipulated...but this was part of the preventative measure that didn't quite work out to prevent the manipulation.

Update on my recently installed grill.

I drove to Baltimore yesterday...about a 100 mile/one-way trip and used the DRCC as well as LDA.

Both worked as advertised and my TRD Vintage Grill looks great!

    DRCC=Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
    LDA=Lane Departure Alert

First Impression...that was messy. Makes me want to remove the Skid Plate...lol!

Also, found out both the oil pan bolt & the filter housing (as well as the washer looking nut) were all not easy to take off.

Also, the filters I bought are too tall/long so I had to keep the old filter in-place...but I did replace the rubber o-ring.

Pics uploaded later...it's Saturday and we have a busy day.

    Photos of my experience...

Got the funnel installed...thought this was gonna be a "walk in the park".
    thumbnail_IMG_7166_40c7e3b1e253b7246383745b2b9cf666f43832f2.jpg

First up...the oil pan drain plug
    thumbnail_IMG_7167_caffea93a259a25a1b471ea20613c17ecfb5b2b4.jpg

I thought (that's what I get for thinking) this was going to come off easy. I ended up getting a 3/8th breaker bar to loosen this nut.
    thumbnail_IMG_7168_1ef99c04a0d83a93512bb188ee569a82bb6e07d7.jpg

After I "loosened" her up I thought (there I go thinking again), this should drain easily...NO! I also forgot my shop wipes!
    thumbnail_IMG_7170_50e1c8afa403ce73fe56b08b0fd9d2c85bc1dc24.jpg

This was the sole highlight of the draining process. I didn't make any mess doing this drain.
    thumbnail_IMG_7171_297279860e06354db8a575a6bfe04c48e1835693.jpg

    thumbnail_IMG_7172_42cae664e3b3693e207b1e11325cc8424695ccc5.jpg

The replacement filters I had were too tall...so I didn't change out the old filter...just the rubber ring.
    thumbnail_IMG_7173_8341845c6e0b6b0f1c6c458280c21e3364f908fd.jpg

Lessons learned from this experience...I'll be better prepared next time.

    Thanks!

It's almost like keeping a journal of stuff I do to my truck and lessons learned.

    @Eli0841

I'm glad to hear it helps you out.

I have some Bushwacker fender flares I've yet to install...still a little reluctant to remove the OEM fender flares.

I may have to delete the mud flaps...I have to see if I can re-install with those bigger fender flares.

We shall see How I move forward.

    Thanks for viewing my thread!

I'm adding this because it's on another thread but I want it here...

It's the best concert I've ever been to...felt like a teenager since I never went to any concerts as a teen.

    Here's the ticket stub:

Happy to celebrate my one year anniversary on this board!

My Sport has seen many changes/upgrades without doing any major changes like a LIFT & Big Wheels/Tires--any plans on that would be after I get 50K miles on current Destination Tires.

You guys are awesome people/members here and I feel welcomed. I do ramble on (as my wife & kids will attest to) so I appreciate you guys/gals putting up with me.

Current mileage: roughly 14K since May 14, 2021

    ToyotaCare schedule:
#4 Dec 2022 (Includes Oil Change)
#5 Apr 2023 (Final ToyotaCare Visit)

Thanks for tuning into my thread. All the best to you TW members and your Toyota Trucks!

Flying out to SoCal tomorrow. Driving my Sport to airport and parking it for a week.

I'll be on here sparingly...I say that now. lol

The Dodgers will be hosting the Playoff game the week I am there...but I'm not traveling from the Inland Empire when I can watch the game on TV.

    Enjoy your Friday everyone.

    Go Dodgers!!!

My Sport just rolled over 15K miles yesterday/Oct 26.

    That's about 17 months.

The next scheduled ToyotaCare MX is in December...for the 20K mile check-up which will include an oil change.

The final and 2yr mark will be before May 14, 2023.

Looks like I'm roughly 5K miles under each estimated intervals.

I am happy as can be with my Sport.
