For once, I have no real plans. My mom flys in from Arkansas for a visit but not until that evening.

If its nice out, I might wash and wax the taco. Its been forever since its gotten that treatment.

 

90% chance of rain Thursday. Guess washing and waxing will likely not be happening.

Maybe I’m confusing my CT people but aren’t you working for Lexus? They’re moving to a subscription platform for all their services. Remote start, navigation, etc.

 

I do work for Lexus but I find it odd for any subscription service on a vehicle.

 

I fixed that Hyundai that I was looking at... hopefully.
P0708, computer thinks transmission is in two gears at once and the radio illumination will flash radomly.
Looked on the Hyundai forums for a thought on what might be the issue and they were saying check the ground for the tail lights.

Pulled the back seat and sure enough, the ground for the tail lights was very loose, like it wasn't even tight from the factory. The car was built in 2009.

 

new bushings, rack & pinion, tie rod ends. :-(

alignment at dawn on Friday.
All that better take care of the 'feels like the wheel is falling off'.

Did some slight modifications to the front part of my center console and installed it on lunch yesterday (it will have to come back out at one point).
Finished the heavy gauge wiring harness for the remote start. I'll install that today.

A bunch of worked planned for this weekend: remove seats and vacuum carpet, find bolts for the seats that are 14mm (not 15mm), clean floor, misc wiring and sound deadening. Let's see how much I can get done.

Also, does anybody have the part number for the 110V outlet that's in other Toyota vehicles (Highlander, etc.)? I'm looking for the one with the small flip up cover that I could mount to the side of the center console.

That might work. I also found the part number for the outlet from a GX460 (85530-35050-C0). I'll have to get prices today.
