Not 100% sure it will be Friday or maybe even Thursday night , depending. If Friday I'll probably be up in the area around 11AM if Thursday around 7PM.

CMR has the best spot by the river, but if you can't get that, there are more spots as you go up the mountain in the other side of the river. The spots on the MGR side are smaller, but can still handle a few campers at a time.

I'm assuming you walked across the metal bridge to get those pics. If that's the spot I'm thinking, that's definitely where I would like to camp! Only downside is proximity to the road, but I don't know how many will be driving down there.

Yeah, that was from my very first trip out there.

That would be the best spot for a decent sized group, IMO. If you go across the bridge and up the mountain there are two or three other spots, but they are smaller.

So just to be clear, the plan is to camp at Musterground Friday, drive to Pretty Place Saturday morning, and then back to Musterground afterward, right?

Yea, so meet up Saturday morning at Pretty Place and then head back to the area and run all of musterground + some, return back to camp and people can split off if they just came out for the day. I’m officially leaving out Thursday afternoon in hopes of to grab a decent size spot!

My weekend is up in the air ATM. My wife may be planning a trip to her folks house in NC.

....I'm still hoping to take my oldest (6) camping Friday night, then drive home after trail rides on Saturday.

    Slight change of plans:

Saturday, Oct 8th - Meet up at Gorges State Park, NC 9-10AM. From there we'll head over to Musterground Rd/Chestnut Mountain/HPR hitting the trails, maybe stop to eat a late lunch for the people that are coming out for a day run. I'll be there Thursday afternoon/night if anyone plans on coming out earlier.
