    i havent heard of too many people having these tires so i thought i'd give them a try, but before i do, i was hoping to get some opinions from anyone and everyone who may have/had these in the past.:confused: i found a set of 4 on discounttirederect.com w/waranty for $840. sounds too good for a decent a/t. thanks in advance...

    im looking to purchase 285/70r17's. i have maxxis buckshot mudders on it now and need new tires soon. looking for some opinions about the nittos. thanks.

    I have them they are pretty good ,not that much road noise, doesnt chunk that easy and pretty good traction for flat off roading. ive had bfg at's and I like these better because they are cheaper and are more street oriented tire compared to bfgs.

    They are good tires. I just put a used set on my truck that have maybe 10,000 miles on them. I had Michelin LTX AT2s before these and the Nitto aren't much louder at all. Lot's of good reviews on these on websites too. They will last a while if you keep them rotated. Hard to beat discounttiredirect.com. They have free shipping. Keep that in mind when you are comparing cost with other sites, since shipping on tires is expensive.

    Yea dude...the TGs are a very popular tire...dont know how you missed that :laugh:

    I ran em for a while. They were great off road but terrible on road. I only got around 26- 27k out of them...I may got a bad batch though...it happens :notsure:

    I've don't have any personal experience with them but my buddy claims they are absolutely horrible. He bought a new tundra with a dealer installed lift and it came with Terra Grapplers. Within 1 week he had the dealer swap out the tires due to getting stuck in places where his old f150 with revo 2's had no problems.

    Leveling kit, K&N drop in, and a Loud Ass Stereo :)
    Look in the Hankook Dynapro ATm's too. I've heard better things about those tires than the TG's. My dad has the TG's on his farm truck and really likes them, but they're a LT rated tire and a higher load rating. So I guess it just depends on if you get the LT or the P rated.

    thanks for the insight gentlemen... im gonna be purchasing tires when i get back to the states in a couple of weeks. id like to get a set of the km2's however the money isnt right at this time and just need a good set of at's for cheap. thanks again.

    Hey Bama, how do you get around down here with th TG's? i work with a guy who has a lifted grand cherokee with them on it and i have my duratracs. the other day we went down a very easy mud/gravel road and i had to hook him up and pull him out of there in reverse (and ive got a one wheel wonder). granted his isnt four wheel drive but the treads never cleaned themselves out and he just started spinnin right off the bat. maybe an isolated instance idk?? def wouldnt trade my duratracs for them though.

    I get around fine because I'm strictly asphalt in my truck. I average 500 miles a week on my truck commuting on the interstate to work and back. It won't ever see mud. I know people though, that say they are a really good all terrain tire.
