Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I did not read the whole thread!

My set up works both ways it is installed for permanent duty.

But can be removed quite easy and moved to another vehicle if the air hose will not reach just connect to the battery of the other vehicle.

Guys, I am a retired spray painter nearly 30 years. And have relied on air all my life.
The ARB TWIN COMPRESSOR is spendy but damn... about a pound of a second.

IMHO 4 hoses to air up?
Its beautiful out there. What's the fucking hurry to leave.

And guys.... Schedule 40 PVC pipe is rated for 450 psi. I plumb my shop air with it.
If your application wants to go from bumper to bumper or through a canopy. It's great.

The ARB TWIN comes with a wire harness to attach your future lockers.

Less the lockers. It's 12v power. And a switch wire.
If you go the later route msg me can share the 3 wire route. Eazzzy Peezy.

Bro. It's a rack I fabed to support the static and dynamic loads of the roof top tent and its mounted the the bedside tracks side to side and front bed wall.

The racks hold an Expion lithium ion battery. 12 gallons of water ( electric pump) THE ARB TWIN and the RedArc Bc-Dc charger

DISCLAIMER, I didn't read this entire thread:

Consider not only CFM (most of the Viairs I've seen people selecting are pretty weak) but also duty cycle.

For my needs, mainly airing up and down for off road trips, or filling the occasional bike tire or water toy, I went with the ARB twin, mounted under the hood and spent the extra $250 or so on parts and a day of my time to plumb an onboard solution with schrader valves in each wheel well and 4 whips. This has been sort of put out there as the "wifey system" with the Tacoma guys, but has existed in the Jeep world for a long time.

I've used the system quite a bit and it's one of my favorite mods. I pretty much relax with a beverage while airing up and down and I'm usually done first.

*If you do go this route, and are referencing the Wifey build, don't buy the air chucks he recommends. They're garbage. The Jaco lighting chucks grab every time and don't leak

For inflating bikes, etc, I have the outlet that came with the compressor on top of it, and I bought the basic ARB inflation kit plus one of the Jaco Digital inflators

There is a lot of good information on here. As another has said, you need to determine which system is going to suit your needs best. I had seriously considered a portable unit but it’s something else to remember to pack and being I was considering the ARB model, it takes up additional space when space can be a premium.

One other thing to consider is if you plan to run a dual battery setup, you’ll want the space that the Slee compressor mount takes up (unless you decided on a Genesis system). Slee makes some awesome products and if you go that route, you’ll be getting a quality mount from a great company. Being I planned on a dual battery, with a Switchpros, I needed something that would mount near the fuse box. I had considered the DDI’s under the seat mount but the compressor is loud and it tents to run hot.

I recently mounted my portable to the bedrail track and hardwired it...I got tired of digging it out all the time to air up. When this compressor dies I'll pick up an ARB because the Viair gets really hot.

    @Taco-Grinder
    Brings up a CRITICAL POINT
WIRE GAUGE per install location ( distance).
    Especially the ARB TWIN.

Sorry new here. Not sure I'm even posting correctly.

ARB twin on a custom underhood mount. Plumbed to grill, rear bumper, and inside the bed behind drivers taillight area (above cubby).

Airline routed from engine bay to the rear via inside the frame.

Also made my own version of the Morrflate to air up two tires at a time. I find it quicker just dealing with two shorter hoses and two tires at s time than diddling with a longer set of hoses to fill four tires at once.

I'm completely good with airing up four truck tires from 15psi to 36psi and two trailer tires from 12psi to 28psi and be back on the road in 10mins. Quick enough for me.

As for airing down, I picked up a 6 piece set of Staun (knockoff brand) type deflaters for under $20 on Amazon that work mint.
Just screw them on each tire and continue on my way. After about 5-10mins, I hop out and swap the valve caps back on.

I made a jig for my home compressor that has a regulator, guage and Shrader valve for dialing in each deflator tits on perfect. I added a red Sharpie line to two of them for the trailer tires, or if I want to set the rear PSI lower than the front when it isn't loaded down with gear or the trailer tongue weight.
