Yea i bought into the seller's line that the KS code is inconsequential. I was used to ignoring a P0401 on my LC.

    But yea, you're not wrong.

Forklift certified by age 2, that's the 10 years of experience they want when you're brand new to the workforce.

I remember accidently having bought the wire pigtail and plug, as a "just in case" and no shit I got the CEL days later on the LC!

Fortunately the fix was quick and easy but of all fucking things.

I do want a ready-to-install power steering pump though.

Let me go to the garage workshop and look at the 5VZ that I keep on an engine stand.

I cringe when I see what 100s are going for now, makes me feel like I gave mine away, but it was 2016/2017, I couldn't have predicted these prices.

Worst case scenario, part it out. You can make good money doing it.

I've grown to really like DCTs. I'd like one in whatever I get next.

It has some nice parts on it, like ShockWorks sliders and it also came with an OEM locked rear axle and frame reinforcement plates.

It's also rust-free underneath, so that's gotta be worth something. Although someone was just telling me the west coast is full of rust-free Tacos, so maybe they're not as rare as I thought living on the east coast/midwest.

I don't even like seeing one come up anymore

Not saying the dude with a clapped out RX7 is gonna get his $45k asking price, but someone will pay a nice penny for it because the nice ones are probably listing for more than that.

Mine only had a slight ding on the front bumper (common, small gap between hood and bumper). Aside from that, had a single turbo with v mount, exhaust, enkei wheels, tokico whites all around on tanabe springs, I loved that car.

Red, the wheels were RPF1s, hell even the coils were red.

Beige interior with the storage, not the 2+2 midget seats.

The car was originally an auto but the previous owner swapped in a manual, and provided an extra manual transmission (I still have it, in the garage with my Corvette). The advantage here was the rear gearing was shorter on an auto, so it picked up better from the start versus a manual.

The kicker was that it still got me like 10-12mpg and I probably went way overkill on my starting and stopping habits.

I'd start it and let it run for maybe 5 minutes, and shutting off I had the turbo timer set for almost 10 minutes before it killed power.

We do have a lot of rust free frames, But... its not cheap to get them to the East coast. I cut one up into 4 parts minus front section plus cross members raped it in shrink rap and fedexed it. It was around $200 to do it that way. A complete frame will be about $3,000

It's about as rare to see a rusty Tacoma around here as it is to see a rust free one in the Northeast I imagine. I don't think I've ever seen a rusty frame in my area now that I think about it.

I have seen some in CA but in the mountain areas.

Oh, and the trucks the lifeguards drive on the beaches. Those things are huge rust buckets.

Some prefer multiple shades under the truck, others on the truck

yeah the hype was so real, I collected the mt dew cans and the other random merch. I remember getting Crackdown so I could play the multiplayer beta...

The game was decent, it's been 10+ years I can't say the story was very memorable save for the warthog run at the end. got way more mileage out of multiplayer and lan parties with my friends
