That worked on my Nissan Altima until for whatever reason the motor locked up while driving.

I beg to differ, 3M molding tape is just one that would have no problem holding these on. Metal, glass, plastic, doesn't matter. So how do all the members of this forum that have used these address this problem?

so I did some more research I had no idea the 285/75 wasn’t a c load. It seems E load is a bit much to use on a midsize truck. My question is why is a C load size tire (285/70/r17) heavier at 63lbs vs the E load size at 58lbs?

I agree. I would wager that 3M sticky tape would have held that on. If anything they would have came off while on the highway not after a night of sitting. Glue would probably hold them on though

    Oh look, another mod....
Don't forget to add the foot-print gas pedal, the Blaupunkt stereo and "No Fear" sticker on your back window. Then, and only then...will your 90's trip back in time be completed.

not sure if filing a complaint is necessary yet. I’d check with the seller first before going that route

Thanks for sharing. I'd been contemplating this, but figured it wouldnt work long term, or at all in your case.

Is this because of the chunky tires? I see a lot of people doing noise deadening mods, but I only run some regular street tires on mine (for now)

just quiets it down quite a bit. Chunky tires dont help with road noise for sure.

Maybe I'll have to do that for mine someday. I heard the back wall and the doors are the places to do it.
