Just picked up a 23 PRO mt, and I had been expecting it to have goodyear adventure tires, which I believe are winter rated. However, my truck came with goodyear territory at.....which are not winter rated.

I suppose Ota juat a good excuse to grab some duratracs, but im curious if this is new for 23, or maybe even an error?

Straight from Toyota.com's Tacoma page. You got what they give everybody.

Tacoma’s never came with 3peak snowflake rated tires from factory.

My 2019 Pro came with GoodYear Kevlar all-season AT tires. 265/70R16. Never had any issues with them in snow (and they saw lots of snow the last few years, I live in New England)

I just recently switched (@46K Miles) over to Yokohama Geolander AT. Also changed size to 265/75R16. Looking forward to trying them out is snow this winter.

Heard good things about Yokohama’s, pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.

Were they upsized by the dealership and bumping the price?

There is a thread about this somewhere. It seemed to be a region thing.

Most came with Goodyear standard loaf adventures or terrains.

Begging to be sold and upgraded.

I honestly think it’s a crime to run stock tires on a pro.

I had KO2s on my jeep, and they were good. Had duratracs on my Ram, and loved them. I'll price out a set, I guess.

It's a port option in the SE. About $900 and you never see the stock tires (or any credit for them)

Which they likely sold to you for double the price and then sold the take-offs to someone else through the parts dept. I found this out through my buddy who is a salesman at Toyota when I looked at a 2022 4Runner TRD OR that had Pro wheels and Duratrac's. They often have 4Runner's and Tacoma's in the show room that have been "Upgraded" to Duratrac's and Pro wheels, this is often a $5,000 CAD additional package. Yet you could walk straight over to the parts dept., order the same items for half the price and then sell the take-off's yourself on marketplace or the likes. Quite the money maker for the dealership and most people are none the wiser.
