Nice, my first sled was a 2001 indy 500
I had to ride it last year. My back was not happy doing 300+ km rides on that beast :bananadead:

once u go to a modern chassis its really hard to go back…

It’s definitely not hard for me to not get used to a modern chassis, I can’t fuckin afford one.

The last sled I owned was a 1996 Polaris Storm 800 triple...hopped up by Polaris in good old Wisconsin. Piped jetted and new jugs and pistons...more like a 1000 that an 800. Won a weekend radar run ..126.4 mph that run was on a Friday and held till Sunday...there was a guy there with a T-cat who must have burned 5 tanks of gas trying to knock me out of first...lmao. Those Arctic Cat guys hate the Polaris guys for sure!!

Built a little deck to get the skis above the wheel wells, works mint but should do a v2.0 to try and get it a little lower in the bed

I like the old wedge chassis. I’ve always wanted to get one again since my dad sold his. My buddy has an old xcr thats been sitting behind his barn for a few years i might try and scoop next year to tinker with for the grass drags

i may have converted a family friend to polaris from arctic-cat :stirthepot:

The conversion is no easy task! I was riding a 2007 Ski Doo this winter..600twin reverse electric start...it was like a Cadillac compared to what I rode back in the day...semi fast for a 600. Then I rode a Yammi 1050 turbo four stoke space machine. Super high center of gravity...ya can't ditch bang that bitch. I was all over that thing like white on rice just to carve a few turns. Ya can keep them !

Good buddy of my families is a bit of a legend in the sled scene from y’all’s day. Blair Morgan. One of my pit bikes is autographed by him.

Now that I have the rack installed over the softtopper, I'm thinking I can put a 3rd brakelight on it, as the standard one is blocked by the top.
Any suggestions? Tons of cheap Chinese stuff on Scamazon, but just need a simple one that lasts.
I assume I can wire it into the trailer wiring.
