All speaker went out, any ideas????

So i went up to Tahoe yesterday, it was a great day by the way, listening to my stereo which i finally finished putting in just over a month and i have been meaning to post for awhile. So everything was fine and at the end of the day got in my truck went to turn my stereo on and nothing was coming out of the speakers except for the sub which was working. The head unit was was on, and like i said the sub was working. I turned it off, then checked it about hour and half later and still wasn't working. By the time i got back to the city it was working just fine, and it has been working all day.

This is not the 1st time i have been to Tahoe since i put this in and granted it was really cold in the morning, by the time i left it was like 40 so i don't think it was the cold. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone before or any have any ideas, is it worth it to take the truck about and check all the connections.

And if it helps I have a pioneer 3200BT HU and Alpine SPS 600-609 speakers. Thanks for any help that anyone can provide

 

Are your speakers wired to an amp or do you have them straight from the deck?

 

Sorry i forgot the detail, i am currently using the factory harness straight to the deck. I don't want run an amp, though i might consider it later.

 

I would definitely recommend it if you want some good solid sound.

Back on topic. It sounds like it's something internal with the deck, or it's a poor connection behind the deck into the harness. Since you're not running an amp, there's no fuses to worry about with that. And since it started working again, it could have been a fluke with the deck or there's a loose connection. That's the only thing that I could think of...

 

could be one of your speakers or wiring has an intermitten short most good aftermarket radios will actually turn off the internal amp if there is a short, but it will still look like it is playing....

 

After working most of today on my way home from work today the speakers went out again. So i will check for a short this weekend, i really can't think of anything else. If it turns out to be a short in the harness can i just replace? Even if i am able to find the problem I think that am going to start to look into a amp for the speakers. Does anyone have any suggestions.
