Hi Guys, as I search the tread about this bypass and not much ppl in here use it and give review about them, may be I will be the first then.

As some member knows my taco got limp mode and got code P2433 and P2438 which malfunction air injection valve, my pump still work perfectly so I looking for the parts from dealership cost me $1200 and I read about HThewitt bypass sound promising plus way less then dealership price.

So I order completely full delete SAI system bypass 20 days ago and I install it 2 week ago and once I installed completely that day, I don't even need to crack my engine just turn my key on position my engine light went off, work like champ!

I had been talk to they tech support about how durability this product or do I need retape all the wire to protect from heat or water. They said it come life time warranty as long as you own the vehicle and the product meet the oem specs for wire as long as you following procedure installation.

So far I'm happy with the product no more limp mode which is annoying bc sai system plus I really don't use this system as I use aftermarket headers so more room and my taco more quite no more pump noise.

Hope this help you guys who's still have doubts to this product.

Good to see that it works as advertised.

Since there is a certain government agency that’s hell bent on going after the manufactures.
We might want to reiterate that your truck is for off road use only.
That way, we can keep companies like @hewitt-tech around:thumbsup:

Was it difficult to install? Definitely the route I’m going if mine takes a dump.

Any changes in behavior with the engine after the install? How many miles did your 15 have when the check engine light came on? I’m currently at 120K. Although I believe Toyota covers it 10 years or 150K under warranty.

The reason you don't see it often is because HPTuners came along and made it almost obsolete. With HPTuners, the tuner can do some stuff in enabling you to remove all of the SAS components without causing issues. While the components are on the truck and plugged in, they will still operate as designed in the case that emissions is needed or whatever your needs are. Plus with HPTuners, it improves drivability greatly! Especially the transmission characteristics!

That I do not know? I'm in IA and don't have to worry about inspections or emissions. I don't see any red flags when I plug my OBD 2 in. But I have never ran an emissions system checkout. From what I understand as long as the OBD 2 doesn't throw any red flags, then it wouldn't prompt the inspector to look into it any deeper. I believe for people in areas that have emissions/inspections, most people leave all of the parts on and just plug it back in for inspections. But I would check the link below for questions on that. I know it's been brought up before.

I think HP tuners for more better way for tuner to fix the problem and a lot cheaper but this bypass more for ppl with less know about car or easy way to fix bc plug & play, can be use both off and on road, plus you can still leave all SAI system part in there for pass an emission inspection

With HPTuners you can still leave all the components hooked up. They still function when hooked up too. If you unplug all of of the SAIS compnents, it doesn't throw any codes so the truck doesn't know you did anything at all. I do agree that the Hewitt system is possibly a little easier to understand. But HPTuners isn't very difficult either. It's a this vs that and both will work great. I didn't realize the Hewitt system was $400 now. That makes the price difference a little less than I was thinking too.

@BlueT@com@4×4 Thanks for posting your experience with the Bypass Kit. The Full Delete is the way to go if you are looking to remove all the SAIS components. If there is anything else we can assist with in the future do not hesitate to contact us.

@TacoFergie You do bring up a valid point when it come to HPTuners. For those who are really looking to maximize performance and have the ability to fine tune the engine this is a great option. Of course if this is the rout you decided to go then the HT Bypass kit would not be needed. However, I do agree with @BlueT@com@4×4 the Bypass does offer a less intimidating alternative for owners simply looking to address the SAIS failure.

If anyone in the future has questions do not hesitate to contact us

Installed my HT Bypass kit 4 month ago......no Christmas lights on the dash anymore. Sure is nice not having all those warning lights anymore and the truck runs flawless in the Alaskan winter.

This is on my list for my truck, I've been through two valves already. So annoying that Toyota installed such a flawed system on these trucks.

    Daaannngg!!!.... two valves???.
When I was thinking to buy the bypass compare buy the valves ..... I have doubt even with the valves it self as I test it hot wire both of valves work mechanical but the small sensor on top valves is make you going down trip the sai code and I have doubt how long this bypass can last but they told me the quality of bypass it self meet oem spec and can last as long as truck it self as long as you still own the truck.

just a little feedback, I’ve been running my Hewitt tech bypass for two years now without a single issue. They even provide plug caps for the plugs that are no longer used. It’s a nice quality kit imo
