Can anyone recommend a plug and play LOC? There are a couple of options on Amazon but I am not sure if anyone used them…

I think I spent about $700 on Crutchfield with the nano 5 channel amp, shallow 8in pioneer sub, all kicker 6x9, 6.5 speakers and tweeters. The amp fits nicely under the chair https://www.crutchfield.com/p_530PN5640D/Soundstream-Picasso-Nano-PN5-640D.html?tp=35808

but then I ended up changing the sub and building my own box to let the bass hit harder. IMO might as well change the player too that has 5 channel option and the harness adapter so you’re not cutting into the factory harness

So I ended up adding the 10” kicker and spliced it into my power tailgate harness. Apparently it has the front right speaker in there also.

added front 6x9 kicker cs’ also. Imo there is 0’need for an amp for the fronts… they are too powerful as is… doors will rattle apart with any more power.
Love my current setup. Let me know if anyone needs deets

Did these just bolt right in without modification?

If you buy the Kicker speakers from Crutchfield they sell you everything to do the install. But don't forget the Suburu tweets as well.

The answer to some of these questions is...
Depends on the sound and amount of base you want.
Shallow mount subs aren't booming. And subs starved or air space aren't either. Nor are subs wounded under or behind seats blocking their sound.
If this is acceptable for your application, there are dozens of set ups.
If you're looking for real booming, powerful bass you will need a larger box than will fit behind or under a seat.

This box with sub fit PERFECT in the cubby behind rear passenger seat in my double cab. I didn’t have to remove anything and there’s no rattles. This sub hits real hard for a 10”. Model # is

I went with the 'budget friendly' system from Txxo Tunes - b4 I really knew much about them. I got the 10" sub, all image dynamic speakers, their underseat amp rack and amp and it took me 2.5 days to get it all installed (which partly was me and partly their support which isn't great or timely). I had to turn the bass down below the half way mark cause it's pretty loud (for me). Overall, I like the setup a lot. The sub behind the rear seat fit great and for the most part plug and play. However if I had to do this again I might have just considered Crutchfield or other items (like doing just a sub first).

I had an 8in in my AC and it was alright but didn’t throw as much bass. I ended up blowing it and building a box to fit the 8in kicker L7 shallow mount to fit right in between the rear seats.

I also had the 8inch in my E30 and it did not hit. I was skeptical about this one but I didn’t want to modify too much so I got it and it actually hits hard. I have it turned down at the amp because of how hard it hits

Yea but the damn adapters are so shitty … the screws barely hold the speaker in place

Can't go wrong with JL Audio, one of the VERY few brands that have maintained quality over the last 20 years or so.

Sorry as I'm sure this has been beat to death, but I'm new around here and don't want to search and read for hours but: Are the Subaru tweeters really that much better than stock. Appreciate the answers...
