Huge looking grill area, dramatic mirrors, and tiny tires. Hopefully it’s not really it because this looks kind of silly

Toyota is discontinuing the Tacoma after 2023.
There will be a new compact truck to take it's place for 2024, as a 2025 model. Only available with a 2.0 turbo and full time AWD although it will be a rear bias system and unibody, think Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I'll keep my V6. Hybrid is interesting, but not a tiny turbo engine

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Remember, increase in power and torque = good. Who cares about the CC or amount of cylinders. Cheers!

It will most likely out tow your V6

They already showed what it will look like in Dec 2021. Sans the solid grill it will look very close to this...

That’s a big difference and definitely better looking than what’s under the cover

How do you know what it looks like under the cover?

Personally I can't wait for the turbo. The worst part of the current gen is the gutless V6 especially for those of us that live higher up.

I drove f150s for a number of years. I've had a twine turbo and the coyote. I'll take the NA any day of the week.

My complaints about the tuboed engine is that it drank fuel, especially towing. And the larger displacement felt better while mountain driving. I don't know the science behind engine braking while going downhill, but the 5.0 just seemed to hold the speed at a low rpm. Also the torque is smoother.

I got rid of the TT V6 early. F150s are plagued with all kinds of leaks and issues around all the connections and whatnot to the turbos. It should only be a few hundred bucks to fix up the 5.0 after a 100-200k miles, but it'll be thousands for the TT. The Tundra doesn't seem to be doing much better from what I've heard

Why can't they just throw a turbo on the V6?

I mean the taco is only a few hundred pounds lighter than an f150, so it still would benefit from say around 400ft-lb+ of torque
