Just looking for some personal experience on these leafs on OPTION 1. Giving me 3 inches of rear lift. Granted they are only a few weeks old. I put my 35inch spare along with 6 bags of river rocks from lowes in the bed and have been driving it more than usual trying to get them to settle.

I am coming from dakar heavy pack that for the last 6 months I removed 2 leaves to get it down to 3 inches instead of the 4 over stock unloaded. They of course rode like ass without anything in the bed.

I will say the icons are butter smooth and ride amazing even with a completely empty bed.

I have fiberglass fenders so the drastic rise in the rear bedsides makes the rake look worse, but I am still 11 inches from axle to frame.

I am debating just going to SUA just to get the ride height down in the rear.

The truck performs really well but I hate the rear so high.

Anyone run option 1 with no weight and get less than 3 inches of lift?

What he said.. sure they're on option 1? You double check the configuration before installing?

Option 1 gave me about 2- 1/2" in the back with no weight. Looked like a lot initially, but they replaced clapped out stock tsb leaf packs.

Installed them as they were shipped, with extra leaf left out.
And yes i do have hammer hangers in stock locations. I think I read they give minimal lift?

I installed the RXT leafs with Option 1 several months ago and came away with something in the neighborhood of 2 inches of lift.

I’m also in Eastern NC so you’re welcome to compare trucks side by side some time. I have the stock shackles.

If you had a chance I would love for somebody to get me a measurement from the top of their axle tube to the frame.

About 9 3/4”. That was straight frame to top of axle tube, I stayed away from the bump stop plate and went straight to the frame bottom just behind it.

Unfortunately I don’t know. I only took before and after measurements ground to fender and wheel center to fender, and then measured again a few weeks later, which is where I got the approx 2” front and back. The back settled somewhere between 1/4 to 1/2 inch as I remember, but I never took an axle to frame measurement.

If you check out the big RXT thread there’s a lot of data points in there, you might want to repost this question in that thread.

I read that thread extensively, not alot of people running option 1 because of the low weight/low lift aspect. But I will see what they say, thanks again for measuring that.

I wonder if I should try the 4.0 inch shackle from archive? That would push the back of the spring a little higher. I have a feeling by the time im done trying to get the rear situated I will have spent enough to just get the jdfab sua...

Anyone getting axle wrap on option 1? I've got about 200 lbs added and I have some serious axle wrap on a hard take off. Planning on going to option 2 soon to see if that helps but the leafs are about 8 months old. Contacted Icon and they never got back to me with an answer...

But to add to this post, I got around 2 inches of lift from option 1 with the weight added.(Cap, 35 inch spare, and some tools)

My axle wrap is gone compared to my dakars. I would put it in drive and pinion would make almost a full turn before rear end planted. Much better with icons.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Love the glass work on your truck. Looks sweet. Just my 2 cents but it doesn’t look like too much rake to me. Looks like it would sit you proper in the cab.

    What is yours sitting at?

Also did you torque the leafs at ride height? Since the leafs have rubber bushings, they have to be torqued at ride height.

Second what some of the guys above said, that seems like a lot for option 1. But its been so long since Ive had mine on I dont recall the exact numbers I got. But they did settle out over a few months.

Honestly your rake doesnt look that bad from the pics?

Mine is still right at 11 in from top of axle tube to bottom of frame. Good question, yes I had truck completely on ground before I tightened any of the rear suspension pivot bolts. I am running Hammer hangers with poly bushings in the shackle.
