I'm sorry but it's been so long since I did mine that I forgot how it goes. I do remember that it was a particularly weird looking setup, but that's about all I remember. Hopefully someone else chimes in that remembers or has a more recent experience than I do.

Saw that thread before, realized pics were buried and was hoping someone could just see mine and send a nod lol

But to close this out, page 45 or so on that thread finally had a good pic. I believe my pics show an engine in time (in the lucky link color lining up config).

Looks similar to mine. As long as you did one side at a time, I don't see the chain having any issues with slack. Just make sure you installed the exhaust cam gear with correct keyway orientation since it only goes in one way and the markings are straight forward.

Thanks bro, yup, I put front in the front and it all seemed cherry to me, just wanted second eyes on to make damn sure it’s as good as it could be.

much appreciated! Will button up tomorrow and see what fuel trims are with stock air/fuel compliments/stock ECU file loaded. Taking bets on whether my stubborn -20 FT readings from idle to 4K across multiple tunes with 2 different injector sets stick with the stock! Haha

Everybody gets all caught up on the chain markers having to be all lined up for TDC on these exhaust cam gears. And that’s where the problems usually happen on these swaps cause you focus on the markings instead of TDC. As long as you are at TDC regardless of chain marking positions and swap that top key to the same chain link as the existing top key you are good to go. As for finding TDC there is a indicator at the crank to know. Far more simple this way.

It's why I don't work in there anymore. My back can't handle it like it used to at all. :(

Any special trick to remove the s/c pulley without that URD screw to put into the shaft, so that the jaw puller doesn't mess it up? I'm assuming/hoping the threads are the same with the Tundra, but I lost my URD tool in storage somewhere.

Just open up your drawer of all the left over nuts and bolts you've saved over the years and start trying them out until you find one.

Y’all need one of these if you don’t have one already to eliminate the guess work. Lifesaver when needing to allocate hardware.

    This is awesome!

better than dragging shit from work into the hardware store that people have never seen before and responding to “what is that thing” with “it’s a muffler bearing”.

8x1.25 if we are talking about the Tacoma. The Tundra... All bets are off. Lol.
