    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    they plug into the ODB2 port near your left knee under the dash. their website should have the specs and gauges they display.

    agreed...plus you can put any 18 gauges you want on the 3 screens to flip through. it also shows "pending codes" that i dont think the SG2 does. alarms for engine temp, etc are very nice as well.

    I have the sg2. I'm happy with it, it does everything I need it to do (monitor mpg and such). I now know how to get the most out of my gas. I also like that it can clear error lights and give me the codes so I can look them up and see what is wrong.

    No experience with the ug though

    There is also the Aeroforce Gauge, but not sure if its any better, although it does have a slight bit of customization available.

    Yep, just bought it on sale! Very easy to mount and set-up. Plus, much much cheaper (and better looking) than the Scangauge.

    I just ordered one also. Cant beat the price, and hopefully its as easy as everyone says. Did you have to recalibrate, or re-enter anything after each tank fill up?

    I'm in the middle of the calibration for MPG. It read that my average MPG was 19.2 when it was actually 17.4. It's easy to set-up and calibrate though, I was just lazy when I got it and am just getting around to resetting and calibrating. I had mine up and running in about 15 minutes (I mounted mine like Whippersnapper and had to take off the pillar cover to hide the wires). Aside from hiding wires, you just plug it in, enter your engine size and fuel tank size (21.1 Gal per the Owner's Manual) and it's functional. I would download the manual off their website (it doesn't come with anything) and look at the MPG and distance calibration procedure.

    Looking at the Ultragauge list of incompatible vehicles, I find that 2004 6-lug Tacomas with ABS aren't supported. Has anyone here confirmed this? That sux.
