I meant to get in on this a while back and then life got in the way. Would love OEM orange color for my ‘07. If anyone sets up a GB, shoot me a PM. I’m down for one. No time to make one myself…

Nope unfortunately the ROI is no longer worth it for me to produce them anymore.

I would also be down for a GB if someone is starting one and it is still an option.

I'd also be down for one if you felt like dusting off the old soldering iron! I just jumped from a1998 to a 2012 and am baffled by why this switch isn't illuminated.

If you have a 2012 this system will not work for you. If you open the pdf in the first post of the thread it says it is for 2005-2011. There are other options for 2012-2015. I have saved that thread but I am not sure where the link is now. Search on Tacoma World or use Google and include tacomaworld.com in your search terms to see what you can come up with.

Edit: Here is a link to one solution:

There has been allot of interest in the LED board lately, again if you someone wants a start a group buy and get 25 people to pre-order, I will do another run of boards.

    Cheers,
    Shannon

I have done something similar before so it would not be hard for me to put something together. Let me see if I can carve out some time to get things going. I will start a conversation with you soon to go over the specifics and make sure that I have everything accurately organized and presented. Do you have any links to any previous group buys that have been done before for the product?

I bought my illuminated switch for my '08 Tacoma way back and it's been in a drawer waiting for a good time to install it. Finally in the process of a full interior makeover and thought this is as good a time as any. Got the tabs apart and while taking the spring out somehow a little metal ball popped out. I have no idea where it goes. Can anyone help me locate where this needs to go before I assemble it back together? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

I believe that ball goes on the end of the white piece (circled). As you turn the knob to 4x4 it has resistance on it and at the different settings (2x4,4x4,4x4l) the ball will push out to hold in those positions (“x’s”)
