Hello Everyone! My name is Sarah and I just got my first Toyota, an 05 Tacoma Double Cab. Needless to say I dont know a whole lot about Tacomas except they are pretty nice. Hahaha. :)

I also have an 06 325i... both are silver which is nice. :p

I dont have any major questions yet, except one; when the Maint Reqd light comes on, what does that generally mean? I'm guess oil change?

    Thank you!!
    Sarah

hey sarah, welcome to tw!! your truck sounds nice, as does the 325i.......and they are both silver, which =.

and yes, as far as the maintenance req. light, it means time for, or almost time for an oil change. if you are doing the service yourself, here is a link on how to reset the light.................
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...eneration-tacomas-reset-maint-reqd-light.html

....................if dealer or someone else is doing the service, they will more than likely reset it for you!!

anyway, enjoy the forum........lots of good info and people here!!!

Hi Sarah. Welcome to TW! Yes, the Taco's are nice trucks.

That light generally means it is time for an oil change. Of course the light has to be reset after an oill change is done. If Toyota does the oil change they would reset it for you. But if someone else is doing the oil change they may not know how. The instructions for resetting the light can be found at the following link.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...eneration-tacomas-reset-maint-reqd-light.html

    Good luck!

Thank you! I love my cars also... LOL :p So the Bimmer is a 2006 and it is gorgeous, (I dont know how to post pictures on here). I dont have any complaints except one. It had a bad battery when we got it and left me stranded once. Called up the local dealer (where I didnt buy it from) and they gave me a new one, no charge. The one thing I love is that the door handles light up when you unlock the doors and the storage space in the trunk!!! I drive it maybe 1/2 the time and the truck the other 1/2. The Bimmer is much easier to park. Hahaha. Okay other dislikes...oh it has a bit of a delay when pressing the gas after a stop which I think might be a governor of some kind, but I dont know. Other then that I love it, and looooove the stares from people. Hahaha. Always feel like a celebrity! :)

Definately my kind of girl! A beamer, a Taco and she doesn't seem to mind doing her own oil change. So.... you single? ;)

There is a system that routinely checks the vehicle. 9 times out of 10 it is that you didn't tighten the gas cap till it clicked.

I'm actually taken too, her only character flaw is that she doesn't drive a Tacoma.... or a Beamer for that matter

So I am not sure what brand of lift, I havent actually had a chance to check it out. :( But I will this weekend when I gtet under there for the oil. And I just took the brush guard off, had someone who wanted to buy it from me, and quite honestly I needed the dough. Hahaha. So it's gone, but its still a mean truck. :D Oh and first small car experience in the truck today, I went to the grocery store at lunch and this little mustang (looks little from my seat) starts to back up and comes within 2 seconds of hitting my new truck. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
