Fender, well replacement

I’ve searched the best I could but see very little information on this . So with cutting up the bumpers and putting aftermarket bumpers or viper cuts and fender trimming. There’s a lot of space for water and mud to get in the engine compartment. Does anybody know of a solution for this. Does anybody make aftermarket fender inserts? Apologies if there’s been a thread on this, I just couldn’t find it…
PS I realize the title is messed up. I don’t know how to fix it…

 

I believe that C4 is coming out with some.
Edit: just looked at their site and they are there. $550 seems steep though.

 

The C4 fender liners don't necessarily block matter from getting into the engine bay, they primarily block matter from getting up into well, the wheel wells. If you want to block stuff from getting into the engine bay then get some after market splash guards.

Rubber roofing membrane works great for that. Just make a template out of lightweight cardboard or something then cut the membrane. I did that for my 4runner several years ago and still going strong. The only problem for most people is finding the membrane.

Oooof my bad. I was just focused on the bumper and fender trimming part. Technically there already are splash guards in the spot like your link that don’t get impacted by the mods OP mentions.

 

I agree the splash guards shouldn’t have been affected and that there are replacement fender wells on the aftermarket as well. I’m not 100% sure what the OP is asking.

 

With the DIY options I just can’t grasp spending that much on the C4 kit. For comparison, the JD fab inner fender replacements are twice as much and look at what all you get. Fab work will obviously be more involved though.

This seems like a more elegant solution than the sledge hammer.

 

I made mine out of an old plastic trash can. I used cardboard to make a template and I used a heat gun to help shape the plastic. They have been on there for a couple of years now and are still holding up. I attached them with zip ties through drilled holes here and there.

Aluminum must be getting silly expensive goin off the cost of these well replacements. Bout to destroy my trash cans like that other guy
