hello I have developed a rather irritating squealing noise from the cab when i push the clutch in. i tried just lubricating the hell out of the shaft which i think the noise is coming from. which it would seem was a temporary fix. do i need to carry around a can of WD40 or does someone have a legit fix.
    thanks yall i appreciate it

My guess is that the clutch pedal bushing broke.

I assume you have the 3.4 and the torsion spring set up. 10 years ago or so I go rid of that awful squealing noise by swapping in the linear spring instead:

    This ^^^.

Don't bother f##king with the cheap plastic bushings that are circled in Timmy's drawing. Remove all the bits and pieces and toss them, then reassemble everything without new bushings. Use a spring to pull the pedal back to its disengaged position.

Interesting. I thought the 2.4 and 2.7s came with the linear spring for the clutch pedal.

    Can you confirm?

Also when you're in the footwell and pressing/releasing the clutch pedal what exactly is squeaking? WD40 is more of a water displacement (ie "WD") rather than a lubricant. I assume if you use a silicone spray or lithium grease etc, the squeaking will go away for a very long time.

@Madjik_Man There's a shaft coming from the clutch pedal that goes into the firewall of the truck. I can get a picture of it soon im currently at work. Haven't had lunch yet. I lubricated that shaft and then pushed the pedal in a few times and the sound went away. It has come back about 2 weeks later. I think youre correct it just needs a more long term lubricant

clutchless rev-matched shifting and you won't have to listen to the left pedal.

Yeah you already have the linear spring set up.

Just use a real lubricant on wherever it’s squeaking and you’ll be good to go.
