Not wanting to a doubt a fellow TW member, but do you have any photographs of 33.6" outside diameter, 265 mm wide, tires on a Taco with a stock suspension?
Perhaps with the front wheels turned to the left or right?
That certainly goes against 99.99% of what I read on TW, including the sticky in the Wheels and tires section.

Unfortunately no. I’m not saying it won’t rub at all anywhere no matter what, just that they fit and are drivable. The general assumption I’m making is that someone fitting 20” wheels to begin with isn’t concerned with the ability to stuff a tire in an off camber, turned wheel scenario.

Nope. Not drivable unless you are going dead straight, completely flat grade. Will it physically fit…yes, just barely. You cannot drive a 265 65 20 on stock suspension without majorly ripping apart your wheel wells.
It’s not about being right. It’s about stoping people from saying nonsense that is 100% not true. Not 99%. 100%. You cannot drive on a 265 65 20 tire. Sorry.

Head over to https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/put-255-85-16s-on-stock-or-wheels-and-suspension.491079/ or https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-skinny-on-skinny-tires.529656/page-289#post-28388691 and read a bit. I would wager thousands of us have done it thus far, myself included. Those tires in my photo are my 33s compared to stock TRD OR takeoffs that are 30.5".

It's worth nothing too that many brands will have different sizes. Toyo M55/Open Country MT are both 33.4" and 33.5" respectively - Cooper ST Maxx are 32.8", Yokohama G003 MT are 33.2". All fit perfectly in a 255/85R16 size. Lots in the way of 255/80R17 too, better selection that way and all are within the range of 32.8 to 33.5+

People will drive even with 285/75R16s too, also 33s and are obviously wider than 265/65R20. Can they adjust alignment and be very specific in offset and backspacing to make it bearable on roads, even while turning and taking incline/declines? Yes, will it rub off road or at total lock in the city? Sure, but no one's taking 265/65R20s off road and even full lock in an incline or decline in a city may be unlikely depending on the state (looking at you Hawai'i, California sea-side)
