Manual transmission only has a neutral switch & speed sensor.

Right but according to SparkyIX swap thread he had to put the auto harness in neutral permanently so the 4 low would engage. Maybe mine being a 05 wont need that? I guess I will cross that bridge when I get it moving was just trying to be a step ahead if that was the case.

    Thank you

My guesstimate on that is his Taco (and yours) has the auto version of the 4WD Control ECU...not the manual version.

this was the 4wd ECU out of my 6 speed. I think the difference between the two models is a 2wd and a 4wd setup. Not sure why there’d be a difference between an auto or manual ECU for the 4wd

just wire ignition hot +12V to F12 terminal 22. That will trick ECU to thinking it’s in neutral all the time this won’t affect dash lights.

Ok where would I find the f12 terminal 22? Is that on the ecm?

Here are a couple of pictures, driveline lengthened 1” fit perfect. Clutch line out of 3an braided stainless. Swap wise everything operates like it should. Idle is a little high but I’m hoping that’s going to correct itself as the computer re-learns. Only issue I have is non swap related, I believe I wired my adaptor harness for my 12+ hvac controls backwards. Just need to unpin and repin that. I still need to wire the auto harness to neutral, I have also not tested 4x4 yet.

Does anyone happen to have the part number for the clutch start cancel switch plug and any recommendations on where to buy terminals for it?

I do have the part number for that, will get it here for you since you are badass at getting yours running.

I don't have info on terminals and connector, though I got one as a pigtail when I got my switch (used).

I buy one from eBay. Wasn’t very expensive and it came with a short cutoff section of the wire harness.

Thanks I have the number for the switch but was hoping for a number on the plug itself (unless I missed it reading through the linked thread). I have been watching ebay but nothing has popped up. I am not good at waiting haha. First impression backing the truck out of the garage was reverse is very tall, ordered some DPDT relays and a switch this morning to be able to wire up a 2 low switch. Going to follow this diagram, doesnt look to complicated.. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2wd-lo-mod.195424/

Per Jeff Lange there is no part for an independent harness for clutch start cancel. It’s part of the truck body harness. Except, apparently, when it’s not there :( so we are in the same boat.

Well shit. I wonder if a guy could find a terminal that fits, make a good wire connection plug them all in and epoxy around the wires. Not the right way but with out getting a cut off I am not sure how else to do it.

I build these things and figured I’d just buy the pigtail. Plan to extend it to reach with some other connectors. Someday when I have time. Also have to locate the starter wire I guess, but ignition is probably ok too.

Clutch start cancel is in, I wired pin 1 to ground pin 2 to key power and 3&4 to the switch on the pedal. I have to hold the switch in while turning the key. Is that right? If not will this hurt anything the way I have it wired?
