I dont think you have too much longer to wait for Toyota to release details on the 24 Tacoma.

I've seen 2022 Gladiator Rubicon, 4k under MSRP. Wranglers (2023) were @ MSRP :anonymous:

Looks like Gladiators are a hard sell in the current market.

I think the Tacoma will be totally redesigned for 2024. We’ve seen the spy photos. Toyota needs to meet Federal emissions so a new turbo-4 makes sense. Then the new (and upcoming) mid-size trucks from the competition are presenting a respectable challenge. So they are either “diluting” the emission requirements pressure by expanding the range and releasing a Toyota “Maverick-fighter” (unlikely), or redesigning the Taco with turbo-fours and hybrids.

I want to see some other trucks take market share. Nothing will improve the Taco like ford and GM showing up with better trucks. I have high hopes for the new GM twins and the Ranger.

Bought mine in early August 2022. got it for $1k under sticker. Also got 1.9 financing as well. Funny thing was that mid KBB for my trade (18 F-150) has dropped over $5k since then. I was extremely fortunate to get what I wanted for what I wanted to pay.

People are finally smarting up,and are refusing too pay the high prices for cars, trucks homes, etc.
The new truck crap wears off fast when you get that first $700 a month payment, just ask all the thousands of guys that bought new Ford trucks that are now trying to sell them.

Hasn't happened yet here. Due to the shortage of inventory on tacomas, dealers are still getting msrp or better. Just spoke with a guy that came up to me while in a parking lot, asking how I like my truck. Told him best truck I've owned. He told me he's been shopping at several dealers. and can't find what he wants at a fair price, or they're just not on dealers lots. One dealer told him they just can't get them.

No official announcement but it's looking like 2024 will be a redesign since the Tundra, Sequoia, and Highlander have all been redesigned. Could be 2025, who knows. But within the next 2 model years a new Tacoma will be here.

Sure, for the several good reasons listed above in various posts.

Over the next few months many 'I've got to have it now at any price buyers' are going to have reverse sticker shock.

If they have a loan, and need/want to dispose of or trade the vehicle, they are going to find themselves upside down relative to balance owed to adjusted value.

This. I got a VG deal on my 2015 TRDOR because the 2016's were coming in. If they had only known...............:D

Still think the 2nd gens will always be more sought after then the third gens. Be interesting to see what nanny gov crap they will put on the fourth gens.

If I was in the market for a 4dr short bed utility that wasn't a midsize. I'd be looking at a Ridgeline. Comfortable on road ride, adequate power and capabilities compared to midsize trucks. Honda's QDR, and resale on a RL is probably pretty good.

I doubt if there are any deals to be had on a RL, and availability isn't that good.

There are lots of incentives on new F-150 money off and 0% APR for 3 years on some 22 models. Rangers are at 5.9 from Ford eeek! but you can get money off.

I’d avoid the 2016-2018. V6 Engines; oil leaks. Transmission; gear hunting, some consider this a feature.

Now is the sweet spot. When 24s come out with a turbo, 23 leftovers are going to be hot

I think the reception for this new-fangled-4-cyl-Turbo will be weak... and the 2020+ Tacoma's will be worthy of a pretty penny for quite the while.
I should go buy up two 2023's right now and just sit on 'em.

My theory with 4 CyberTruck reservations in Nov of 2021…still waiting.
The 23s will hold their value well.

I don't see the 2nd Gen's being more sought after, other than scarcity from low volume of sales when new.

If they’re coming off of MSRP, they’ll make it up with the interest rate.
