‘Dad Shred build thread’ double locked & 5:29’s SOLD, now 2014 tundra cm TRD OR

Man I really have to stay out of threads like yours…Very awesome build my dude!

Wondering to myself if I can use the same shocks with a @ARCHIVE relocation kit, I have his ubolt flip, planning on ordering HH next month and I like matchy matchy stuff.

I promised myself I wouldn’t “cut up” my truck but daggum that rear bumper has me reconsidering…

Yup, his rear bumper was the inspiration for mine. Asked if I could basically copy the style and went from there.
Even as high and tight it is, still hit it into rocks

 

Little bit of a big update for y’all. Truck is getting sold to a buddy of mine & I just flew from Phoenix to Portland to buy this

1 owner, outstanding service records at toyota dealer, rust free, well cared for 2014 TRD OR SR5 crewmax 5.7L w 151k

3 kids at home and hardcore wheeling is an itch that I have scratched & im ready to enjoy the full sized tundra life especially with the canopy.

Just drove this big girl home in the last 2 days (1400 miles). What an adventure and I have never been more comfortable. The power and comfort of this truck is nuts. It feels like it has 25k on it only.

drove 600 miles yesterday and the remaining 700 miles today which was all very easy in this powerful tank.

 

This just popped on up the main page for me and I checked out your build. That might be the greatest rear bumper I’ve ever seen. Nice work.

Time to look him up and maybe replace mine. With something close. Unless it’s off the shelf I won’t copy it exactly.

 

He is in Scottsdale AZ & he put some really great work into it. I don’t know if he’ll do it again but you can certainly try!

 

sad to see the build go, but stoked to see the tundra. I put 2k miles on my Taco last year she is driveway art mostly lol

 

No one ever took design ideas from that bumper.

Thanks for posting that though. It makes me feel better that style looks just as stupid on a third gen as mine does.

This truck is staying w stock suspension & I’ll be putting some 275/70r18 rugged terrain tires on it. That’s it as far as wheels tires and sus goes.
