Got the windows tinted. Removed the TRD decals on the back.

looks good - I'm really torn about removing the decals, but I'll be blacking out the chrome badges

Yeah, I'm still thinking about getting all black decals to replace them with. Blacking out the badges made a huge difference!

I'm planning to take the same approach as this thread.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...r-gate-opener-button-w-a-fob-retrofit.761549/

The wiring harness, switch, and switch panel are on order. The donor garage opener is hanging on the visor. I'll post the install, though it will be a few weeks for everything to arrive. The switch panel is a mid-April delivery at this point.

Maintenance detail. Was looking pretty bad after 5 months of wet dirty roads and no cleaning.

i used to. but my personal vehicles see such little use, i just don't see the point. so i only carry the jump pack. i wouldn't be opposed to carrying jumper cables on a longer trip, but with my routine around-town stuff, i don't see the usefulness in the addition.

Got my exhaust re-route done Saturday. Added a heat shield from Amazon to protect the t-case actuator. Then I installed the BAMF diff skid. Going to install the gas tank skid and finish the weboost during the week.

Nice! I located mine there as well. Was going to flush them in but they work and look fine as is IMO. I used JBL stadium 6x9 in door, 22s midrange in dash and 192T tweeters in sail

I posted earlier about my windshield mod (rock). I noticed this morning, I no longer have my AT&T Wi-Fi (paid yearly). I have Wi-Fi, it’s active but not in truck.

My question, is the Wi-Fi antenna in the upper black are of the windshield? That is the only logical explanation for me.

What is the lock mechanism in your picture of the backwall behind the back seats? It's not a tailgate lock with some really long cable is it? I'm so confused.

    Thanks. I need MORE coffee.
So - you are a firm believer in the application of sound deadening material to create a quieter cabin.
I presume you did not apply material to the roof, nor the floor.
Everyone claiming a swimming pool noodle helps a lot, suggests the back panel of the cab is something worthwhile if one is doing the doors.
I wish someone would see what results can be obtained, just applying the material to the back wall...

It truly surprised me, considering the amount of plastic and seat cushion that already blocks the back wall. Correct, I have not done roof or floor, nor do I plan to. I just wanted heavier doors so that the aftermarket speakers had a solid base. (Little point in upgrading speakers without giving them a fighting chance to perform, IMO). Just doors and back wall killed a good 50-75% of wind noise, with the biggest improvement still being the doors.

Sounds like a good excuse for a dual battery setup. Last time I accidentally left the lights on and drained everything, I just popped the hood, flipped the lever to manually bridge them, and jumped myself.
