Put on some Falkens about a month and an half ago and was blown away to see today where they were made. They do very well in mud btw. These tires are bad ass.

Yes, noise reduction. The vents are pointed down, so the air that flows from under the truck creates a vortex in the space between the cabin and bed. By shoving a pool noodle, you eliminate air circulating in that space.

Toyota does some noise reduction by adding rubber on the sides as well as closing the gap with rubber on the B pillar.

    Here's my scientific drawing lol

But now you’ve just created an area for dirt and debris to accumulate at the cost of a couple dbs

Got the truck (TRD Off-Road) Sunday, so the mods begin:

    Ordered:
    TRD Trail Edition Grill
    obligatory Raptor lights
Trail Grid Pro Dash Camera Power Adapter

    Arriving soon:
    Center console lock box
    Front seat risers

    Planned:
    Method Racing Rims & Tires
Recovery Board mounts (Need a redesign things, maybe reuse what I had on my Subaru Crosstrek.)
    Decked Drawers
    iPhone mount
GMRS faceplate mount and install of the radio itself
    CB radio reinstall

    Questions left to be answered:
Where to run CB/GMRS antenna wires from the bed to the cab without using the plug holes underneath the driver/passenger seats.

The corners are pointed down for the water to run off.. I have yet to see a single piece of debris there.. Nothing a leaf blower couldn't handle.

A couple of dbs is a considerable difference.

Got the Tacoma a friend, and daily driver for my daughter. Picked her up a 2020 Subaru Forester Limited, straight off a 3-year lease, 21k miles. Deal was too good to pass up.

20230327_173626.jpg 20230327_173636.jpg Removed factor skid and install knockoff TRD. Went on smoothly and now I have access to my oil filter. Truck has 3800 miles and coming up on a year so I figured it was time.

I'm on my 2nd set. I love these tires too. I don't understand why there's some people who don't like them. My only complaint is the mileage you get out of them is on the low side of the advertised. But it bears mentioning I opt for the lighter ply ones vs the heavier truck rated units. They excel in snow and rain here where I live!

I guess I'm in the camp of not liking them that much. My main complaint was that they wore down much faster than advertised. Performance wise, they were fine. Although I like the wet performance of my Trail Terrains a little better.

Assembled and installed my Voodoo Modular Max bed rack this weekend. Still need to load and configure and will post more after I’ve had some time with it, but here’s an unloaded pic:

Now that you have a skid plate that you can access the oil filter without removing, take a look at this oil drain product. I'm looking forward to doing my own oil changes instead of paying someone to do such a simple task.

I'm planning on doing just that when I start doing my own ( don't tell the naysayers ) but I'm going to let my local dealer do the 1st 2 since they're free/paid for in the cost of the truck.[/QUOTE]

Installed the nicest side awning I could find. Arb 2.5m with lights and hard case. I REALLY wanted the Alu-Cab 270 awning, but it's too heavy for me to install/remove myself, and it's super expensive.

I don't camp often, but wanted something for additional shelter (I used a ground tent) in case of rain, etc.

    Also, Accutune UCA's came in.
