I like both of those. I had an old ski rope strap laying around and put it to good use.

I should have asked that another way. I understand the functionality of the base but I was wondering how you plan on mounting it to store on your truck. Does it fit with the other jack mount that you got or do you plan something else?

48,000 miles. No pictures but I swear it happened.

New tires. Replaced OEM 265/65-17 with Michelin Defender LTX M/S 265/70-17.
New front pads (04465-04090) and caliper pins (90240-06158). Outer pads were about 1/2 the thickness of the inner ones. Interesting that the “pads need replacing metal rub piece” is on the inner pads.

Pins weren’t necessary but they corrode over time (mine weren’t too bad; spent their life in NW Florida so the environ isn’t much of a challenge (GOM salt air) and they cost $2.50 each). Probably fastest and easiest pad replacement I’ve ever done. (Remove tire, remove two small springs, remove caliper pins, c-clamp the pistons “open” (position c-clamps where each caliper pin goes through each pad), remove pads with 2 “shim plates”, and, in the spirit of Chilton’s: Installation is opposite of removal.)

However, that design is what results in all that disconcerting racket when I apply and release the brakes. That racket is mostly if not entirely gone now. Seems the springs that help release the pads from the rotors could be a bit stronger?

I’m just going to put it in a large tote with my other recovery gear. The mount is specifically for the jack. I’ll post pics when it’s done.

It's been a while, got the power tank mount installed for a propane tank. It is a bit more pricey over other brands out there, the the metal strap & latch are way better quality. Also, the lower mount has teeth for the lower tank rib to sit into. Some of the cheaper mounts are just a flat plate. I'll have the video out soon.

Link to the tank mount, it will work for a 5 or a 10/11 pounder

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
Made her do some work. There was about 12 of those full "rounds" of ash under all the smaller stuff underneath. She did OK with it but it was definitely more than it should have loaded in it. Cleaning up the yard for spring but mostly to keep the wife happy.
