Wow they look GREAT!! I Have them sitting in my garage and waiting for nicer weather to do install. Got them off thr BST thread.

 

Folks complaining about Tacoma seats started with the 2nd gens, and no electric seat in a $50K vehicle until 2021.

early mod was installing washers on back, then some guys started manufacturing a single piece for the rear (which what I installed), then the front jackers started appearing and then it became a business and costs more money.

the front jackers help IF you’re shorter……..the back lift is so you feel like your sitting in a hole.

i now have a 2021 an electric seat…..so no jackers necessary, but will install the back lift for the pax side.

These are absolutely personal preference. I’m 5’9” and I have front Jackers and I feel like they make me feel like I’m sitting in a hole. Back Jackers would make me feel like I’m sitting on a wedge and sliding forward.

Your not wrong but I think I am going to start to look for an electric seat at the wreckers.

 

seat jackers maybe cheaper .....is your truck already wired to add power seat?

 

It's basically putting the guts of a FOB controller in the overhead and wiring it to a button. One option is to wire it to a 12V-3V transformer for constant power, but I opted to install a battery holder.

I did a similar mod to connect a wireless remote to my Paradox security system. That is the link that I got the original idea from

 

Bought the cv boot rebuild kit and rebuilt my cv axle that was leaking today I’ll rebuild the passenger side tomorrow. Pretty nice kit recommended by another on the site. Replaced rings, boots, grease and clamps(pain in the ass without the right tools)
Also replaced this inner and outer tie rod tonight. Ran out of time but plan on doing passenger side tomorrow night..
since I’ve gotten this truck I swear I find stuff to do just so I can wrench on it
Ended the night with oil change and realized it didn’t need it once I started draining.. 7500 miles Mobil 1 extended performance and still looked fresh and installed a fumoto valve

my wife got home from work late so didn’t get a chance to have her actually sit in the truck before I left for work myself. I’ll have her sit in the drivers seat in the next day or two and make a post about it.

 

I’m 6’3 with a 34in inseam (and generally those pants are slightly short) and the front seat jackers help take pressure off my knees and legs greatly. I can’t imagine putting rear ones on and really flattening the seat out.

Yep, 5100’s in the rear as well. The front is set to the 5th perch.

 

Got it. The electric seat works for me, but the wife never drives the Taco so they'll just go on the passenger side.

 

I'm excited for me and my wife's dreams to come true. Never like the concept of rtt on my truck and we got one of a kind. My wife and I have worked so hard in life and finally we get our chance .
