    Hi all,

I am planning on buying a Trail-Gear front bumper because they are inexpensive and a bolt-on product. I like their Rock Defense bumper a lot more than their low-profile version, but I just don't know if that will look a little weird on my Prerunner. I plan on lifting it 3" in a few months, but it'll never be a massive rock crawler. Should I just get the low profile bumper? Thanks for your input.

The Rock Defense bumper (my favorite):

    The low profile version:

    Fuck em...they're wrong!
I'm right there with ya. The rock crawler guys thing I'm retarded cause I have IFS and long travel. The sand negro's thing I'm retarded cause I have rock sliders and skid plates. I say...piss off and mod your truck the way you want and for the purposes you need.

 Nice. I'm just trying to imagine how it would look...
That's a good question. As far as I know, (I did do some research) it's fine. The Rock defense is $380, and the low profile is $370... so not much of a price difference that would make my decision.
Hhaha!! Well, that's kinda what I'm thinking.

This is exactly what I'm worried about... this is a rather large bumper for a relatively small truck. I just can't get over how sexy the stinger look is!:D haha

If you know where I can get them cheaper, that'd be awesome:D

And oh yeah, those prices don't include shipping costs. Which is around $75 for the low profile, and $31 for the rock defense lol! So I guess the Rock Defense is cheaper as far as I can find.

I really like my low profile, plus it was cheaper than the rock defense one. I really dig this bumper and how well it was designed, it bolted right onto my truck no problems.

Oh nice! I've been hearing a lot of good things about these bumpers. If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy your low profile? and how much did you pay for it?

Of the two I like the low profile one much better.

But I'm more of a plate bumper fan, myself.

Of course, it's entirely up to you and what you like.

im really diggin the low profile over the rock defense, the stinger looks to be a bit overkill IMO,maybe if it was a shorter hoop like all pros or the demello on jberrys but thats purely personal preference. either way your gonna end up with a sick bumper, trail gear makes some nice stuff and for the price ya pay ya cant beat it. just seen this pic in the "what have u done to your tacoma today" thread. looks sweet

This is probably the direction I'll head. And yeah, I originally was going to get an All-Pro tube bumper because I like that hoop. I was attracted to these because of the smaller price... which is definately an issue in my case.
